  • Beautiful, peaceful setting! We plan to return!

"Our experience was wonderful! We loved the old home, it's pleasant backyard with the hammock and the close proximity to the downtown area. We plan to return and truly appreciated Caryls' sweet welcome bag with her book and bottle of wine! Thank you again!"

  • A Family with all ages

"We love staying at this house, the location was great, you can drive a few minutes and get to the beach or down town Lewes, or Rehoboth. Also close to the awesome Cape Henelopen and Lewes Ferry. Loved that the place had bikes to ride, and tennis and a pool. My 9 year old son loved the X box in the house. There is a yummy restaurant in Five Points (the Green Turtle) We got food from there 2 times! We are going to come back, we just loved the house! Also had a 2 mile path around the whole place for running or biking! Very close to Grocery Store too."

  • Another great week at Laughing Gull!

"We stayed at Laughing Gull in 2014 and again this summer! This time we were two families with kids plus a set of grandparents. It was perfect - plenty of room, great distance to the beach for small children and grandparents, well-outfitted for meals and extremely comfortable all the way around. Everything that was so perfect in 2014 still is so! Another great beach week in Lewes! We will keep coming back to Laughing Gull - walk to the beach and to town! Thank you Helen and Steve for taking such great care of us and running such a lovely house!"

  • Beautiful home, lots to do

"Beautiful quiet home in the heart of old Lewes. Walking distance to restaurants. We ate and slept well and enjoyed side trips to the Prime Hook National Wildlife Preserve and Cape Henlopen State Park which has an incredible beach. And if you go to Rehoboth Beach be sure to stop at Henlopen City Oyster House - the dozen oyster selection is served perfectly and deliciously. A recommendation from our friend Steve who owns Gidgets Gadgets on Rehoboth Avenue - be sure to stop there too!"
