  • Excellent South Bethany Beach House

"It's a wonderful house. The great room is huge with very high ceilings; the bedrooms are very nice; and the bathrooms are each a good size. The house has nice, comfortable furniture. Absolutely agree with the other reviewers about the screened-in-porch: it felt like we were tucked into the woods. The house felt like home - warm and relaxing. I would absolutely stay there again. I highly recommend the house."

  • Perfect family beach vacation house

"We had never been to the Delmarva coast before, so we weren't sure what to expect in the way of accommodations, neighborhood, or beach quality. Fortunately, 21 Bridge Road gave us a great experience in all three! The house has central air and double paned windows, which was essential - there was an excessive heat advisory in place during our entire stay. Renting this house entitles you to use the private, lifeguarded Middlesex Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches I've visited in the continental U.S. Since only residents (or renters) in the Middlesex Beach neighborhood are allowed to use it, the beach is never crowded - even on an August weekend. The house is an easy, three block walk to the beach, and is outfitted with beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, sand toys and a boogie board. If you're looking for a pub crawl or a jumping beach party scene, Middlesex Beach is probably not your best choice - it's laid-back, family-friendly, and it was pretty quiet the week we were there, so it suited our vacation style perfectly. The house is great for two or more families travelling together, as three of the four bedrooms are separated from the rest of the house by the patio (only the loft bedroom is connected with the living room and kitchen area). The owner is polite, responsive, and ready to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We are already planning our return next summer!"

  • new year's eve.

"Five couples in our young sixties enjoyed sand trap. The house has good views of the ocean from living and dining rooms on the third floor, and many big comfortable bedrooms for grown-ups on 2nd and 3rd floors. The hottub didn't work and because of the holiday, couldn't be fixed until the day we left. But the beach was fun for walking and the marsh boardwalk at Cape henlopen was spectacular. We cooked at home all three nights, watched the Washington football team fold, and watched L.A. Confidential. Initial supplies of basics (toilet paper, spices, dish soap) pretty limited but the dollar store was close. We had a great time, despite some disagreement amongst us about the right way to put dishes in the dishwasher."

"Isle of Skye is a wonderful rental for a large family/extended family! This was our 2nd year and we've already reserved year 3. Great location, access to the beach (which is never crowded), Bethany, Fenwick and Rehoboth. The house is clean, well-equipped and has a lightness that is welcoming. Huge table for family meals and good-sized kitchen has additional seating at the island. Love the option of both a screened porch (with another table), deck and spacious living area. Everything is as they say it will be. Looking forward to summer 2017 for our extended family of 10!"
