  • Perfect little affordable cottage for a weekend getaway in a great location!

"We were thrilled to find this cute little gem for a wedding weekend. It is near the Love Creek marina and very close to Rehoboth and Lewes and all of the shopping and restaurants. It is located in a neighborhood of quiet cottages. At the entrance of the road you will see efficiency units located in what was a previous hotel. We met one resident of the cottages and he was very nice. It seemed to be a very quiet neighborhood. (We were there from Thursday to Sunday.) You must provide your own towels and bedding, although you will find a few pillows and blankets. The house was well stocked with appliances, including a large refrigerator, a very nice washer and dryer, a gas stove and oven, a toaster, blender, and a microwave. The dishes are on an open shelf so I would recommend washing them before use. (The shelf was dusty but the rest of the place was fine.) There is one bathroom so we planned accordingly. (Bring soap for the shower.) The bunk (twin and a full on bottom) is on the front porch but the front door is not used so it's like a bedroom. The bedroom also had a full bed that could have been more comfortable. There is a shower in the bathroom and there are plenty of towel racks. Two T.V.'s were provided, one in the bedroom and the other in the living room. There are window AC units and cable and wifi are included. We were thrilled to find games in one of the drawers so we could have a "family game night." The tides, just down the street, at the pier come in quite high (you may not always be able to walk to the pier.) My son took his fishing rod and ended up catching (and releasing) blue crabs. The back yard has a hammock, chairs, and a chimenea. I would bring bug spray because the house is close to the water. The owner was very easy to work with and even offered recommendations about bicycle rentals when I inquired. We would definitely return!"

  • Loved it!

"We loved our stay here. Perfect location and the condo is comfortable and clean with a brand new kitchen andesign master shower. It could use new mattresses, but other than that everything was perfect. We will be staying here again!"

  • Great family vacation at Bear Trap Dunes!

"There'a a lot to like about this rental! Bear Trap Dunes is a great place to take the family. The unit is mere feet from the bag drop for the golf course. Only a bit further to the indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, and playground. The shuttle to the beach was great. You can go the whole week without ever getting behind the wheel at this rental. George, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. It's easy to tell how much he cares about you enjoying your stay. There isn't anything he won't do to take care of you. The unit itself is also great. Five bedrooms, a pool table, and golden tee. Everything a good trip needs. Thanks very much, George!"
