"My friends and I were amazed upon arrival. The houses are very large and the development is clean and peaceful. Right outside of the entrance there is a supermarket and CVS so, we were able to conveniently pick up groceries or necessities without driving too far. The driveway only fits three cars. However, parking slots for the rest of us were right down the street. The Fenwick Island Beach and other attractions were around a ten minute drive. Ocean City is probably around a twenty minute drive. There is much to do in the area, but we found it hard to leave the coziness of the house.
The house had common areas that allowed our group of eight to gather comfortably, but offered each of us our own space and privacy when needed. We spent a lot of time on the deck and garage game room. The upstairs loft was also a treat, as it is much more casual than the living room. We were able to use the off-deck grill and large kitchen to make any meal. Although there isn't much of a yard, there is a serene pond to look over behind the house and a good amount of space in between this house and the one next door for outdoor activities. We were also able to play our music inside of the house and have fun without any of the neighbors hearing us.
This is a perfect house for multiple or large families, with children of all ages. It is also perfect for a large group of respectful young adults. We would love to stay here again sometime in the future.
We encountered a few negatives. Dish soap, hand soap, garbage bags, and tissues were not provided. The master bathroom did not have extra toilet paper. I am not sure if these were items that had been neglected to be provided for our stay. It was not hard to pick up these things, but it felt like a waste to have to buy those necessities for only three nights. I always pack back ups just in case, but my stock was not enough for all of the bathrooms. On the last day, we opened the dishwasher to use and found a lot of dishes and cooking items that were left there by the previous group. Again, this is easy to put away ourselves, but there were things in there that we were searching the kitchen for on earlier days. Lastly, only one tiny frying pan is provided, which made cooking breakfast every morning for a group of eight a hassle. I suggest bringing your own frying pan(s) if you plan on cooking. These may seem like minor complaints, but we have stayed in smaller houses every year that were fully-accommodated."
