  • quiet retreat at Dewey

"If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and a safe haven in coastal Delaware, Snug Harbor is it. Nestled on Rehoboth Bay, but a short 2 blocks walk to the Ocean, Snug Harbor is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busier beach locales. The unit, while small, does provide a great location for walking into Rehoboth, taking in the great eats in Dewey, provides great access to Route 1 for shopping, and most importantly, you can watch the sun rise over the ocean and at night, watch the sun set on the bay. The spiral staircase to the upstairs is a bit narrow, but we managed to get our luggage up. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and 1 down on the main level. Most importantly, the area is quiet from 11 pm to 8 am, so sleeping was no problem. We cooked meals in for part of the time since there were adequate kitchen appliances to create tasty meals. The screened porch was a great place to take in the bay and sit and have a leisurely meal or play a board game. Parking was assigned, so there was never a problem finding a spot. The pier is a few steps away and readily accessible. Owner was responsible and easy to deal with. All in all, a very relaxing 5 days."

  • Great home !Great owner!

"This was a perfect home for a family vacation! We had three generations including 3 children and there was space for everyone. The home was very clean and beautifully furnished. Although temperatures were in the mid 90's for the whole week the AC functioned perfectly/ even on the third floor ! Linda was a warm and welcoming owner- and instantly available for any questions.A community pool a 3 min walk away was an added bonus!😎"

  • Fantastic week on the beach

"After going to the White Mountains for over 10 years we wanted a change. After the kids balked at driving 10+ hours to go to the outer banks, I recalled Bethany as a place I had been as a child. The unit was beautiful, and perfect for our family. Our 5 kids range in age from early teens to early 20's and they all had a great time. The place was very nicely appointed, from the kitchen supplies to the wifi to the beach gear. There is nothing like being right on the beach. Everything is just a short walk away. We rented kayaks for the week and almost everybody went out to kayak with the many dolphins that swim by every day. The location between Bethany and Rehoboth means you are a short drive away from nightlife, restaurants, and other attractions. The top deck is a great place to gather at night and watch the stars."
