  • Comfortable accommodations in central DC

"Owner helpful, accommodations neat and cozy. In a really nice area and within easy walking distance of metro and DC attractions. As pictured, the courtyard is a bonus and available for those who wish to enjoy the balmy evenings."

  • Great house in DC....very convenient and comfortable

"My family and I really enjoyed staying at this property while visiting DC. The kitchen was well equipped and, when I saw that the blender was broken, I contacted the owner and a new one was sent over within a half an hour! The house was very nicely furnished and was very comfortable for the 5 of us. It was in a great location, just a short walk to the metro and a short walk to grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Safeway). Everything about it was great! We loved it and will definitely stay again when we visit DC."

  • Almost Perfect Place!

"Pros: *Great communication with the owner right out of the box! Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with & very helpful! *Clean & just as it was described & in photos! Bedroom is separate, tall, bright w/large closet & plenty of drawer space. *King bed is very comfortable even for those with bad backs (history of back surgery). *Sofa-bed in the living room is also very comfortable & a great place to lay, watching a movie on the DVD player, after walking many miles! *Target is just about around the corner and has lots of DVDs to buy @ good prices. *Welcome gifts on the kitchen table (wine, Perrier, blood orange soda & raspberry/chocolate coffee -coffee was WONDERFUL!). *Close restaurants! Mexican restaurant & The Meridian are very good. The Heights next to the fountain is great! Best brussel sprouts I've ever had! *The kitchen has all you need & them some -even coffee filters! *On-site parking is a plus! Private locked lot next to the building. You CAN access the front entrance from the parking lot. *On-site free laundry is a plus. It is in the basement with detergent, bleach, softener & dryer sheets available. Also some in the apartment. *Four leaf clovers in the front yard! I found 4! Definitely a good indication of good luck at this place! *Nice clean large bathtub! Don't forget your bubble bath! *Check out the Circulator bus along with Metro. Circulator is less expensive & senior citizen discount! *The kitchen faucet broke & was repaired the same day! *Lots of storage space! *Compare rate to hotels! Cons: *No DVDs in the room for viewing pleasure. We did leave one behind a James Bond DVD: just what you expect. *No clock/clock radio in the bedroom. We left a little battery operated clock from Target. *No TV in the bedroom & no guide to TV channels. We couldn't find CNN until our last day there. *You can hear people upstairs walking around -but being an older building such is life. *No full length mirror in the unit. This apartment is very nice & is great for two adults as a home base to explore D.C. It would also work for an additional couple and/or a couple of children. We are in our 50's, not in great shape and had no problem accessing the public transportation. We weren't terrifically comfortable walking around at night though I am sure it was safe - just a few homeless people that you sometimes have to make your way around later at night. HINT: Contact your legislators 6 months ahead for White House/Capitol passes."
