  • An excellent, well equipped property

    "This property is on a nice, quiet development that is reasonably close (in US terms) to most of the major attractions apart from Universal. The villa is spacious; particularly so the kitchen/dining area and living room. Bedrooms are a good size and the ensuite in the master is also large. It has an excellent utility room with a washing machine and dryer and the usual garage conversion into a games room with pool table and a games console. The kitchen has just about every appliance you could want and is well stocked with crockery, glasses and cutlery. As with many properties like this, there are patio doors that lead directly to the pool area. This has a good selection of chairs and loungers and a good sized pool; with space to spare for our family of four. The villa was very clean when we first arrived and the furnishings generally in very good order. The aircon was on the whole very efficient, with the exception of the master bedroom which never really got as cool as the rest of the house; it still wasn't uncomfortably warm however. We didn't order pool heating and in hindsight, it may have been a good idea. Our trip was during August, but with a few less sunny days, the pool temperature dropped quite a bit. The only minor niggle we had whilst there was that the freezer/ice box didn't work properly for the entirety of our trip. It was reported to the management company who did send out an engineer, but this still didn't fully resolve it. Otherwise, a very good property that I would recommend to others. I've knocked off one star as it took over 2 weeks, lots of messages and a complaint to HomeAway (OwnersDirect) to get our security deposit back. There was no suggestion that there was any reason not to return the deposit, but it just took longer than it should have. I was surprised as all of the previous communications with and support from the owners had been really good."
