Lovely home.

The home was beautiful inside and out. Plenty of space for 6 adults to spread out and come together. The home was very clean.

Great home, great price, great Disney hotel alternative!

My family had a wonderful time staying at Rick’s house for our Disney vacation. The house is located 30 – 40 minutes from the airport and a mere 18 – 25 minutes from each of the Disney parks. If you are renting a car then select “no tolls” on your mapping app and go from the airport to the house and all of the Disney properties without the need to rent a transponder. Bring a handful of quarters with you to be safe if you are going beyond the parks. Though the house is bright, if you travel with young children or elderly adults, you may want to consider bringing a nightlight for the bathroom for those guests who use the queen or twin bedroom since their bathroom is located outside their bedroom and the hall is dark at night. If you like your bedroom really dark you may consider a sleep mask for the 1st floor bedroom. I didn’t find the first floor bedroom too bright (lots of windows) but I did use my sleep mask since I travel for work and have one in my bag. All the TVs and their associated remotes are the same brand which makes them very easy to operate no matter which room you are staying in. The WiFi worked fine (5-6 personal devices connected). The thermostat is easy to understand and regulate. Rick is responsive and his process for checking in is a breeze. There is a lockbox on the door and Rick provides you with the code prior to arrival. When checking out all you need to do is lock the door, return the key to the lockbox and leave. My security deposit was refunded in full one week after my departure. One thing I think people should understand is that the house is not in a gated, resort community and it appears as though some of the neighbors are full time residents. That may be why one reviewer heard a dog. I did see people walking dogs and we heard one bark on two occasions but never all during the night or for any prolonged period of time. For Florida standards, the backyard is quite private and the pool is great. If you were to book a Disney hotel with the types of amenities this house comes with, it would easily cost you 2-3 times more. Rick’s house provides more bathrooms, a great kitchen, more TVs for the kids, a private yard and pool, a nice pool table and easy access to all the parks with convenient grocery shopping. I was nervous renting a house online and relied on the reviews of others to do so. I hope my review helps you become comfortable with your decision to rent Rick’s and have a wonderful vacation in FL.
