  • Great property, but wifi issues caused major frustration

"Let me first say...if the wifi issues had been resolved or compensation was provided for inconvenience, I would have certainly rated 5-stars. Property was great. Lots of amenities in complex. Appears to be all vacation rentals. Our unit was impeccable and felt like a home. The issue was that the wifi was constantly going out. Property managers spoke to us about it many times but it was just never resolved. We'd planned on spending many hours at the condo just relaxing and doing some things online. That did not happen. So I was very stressed that I had to catch up on tasks once I got home. I thinking some sort of reimbursement, alternate accommodation, or credit would have been offered but it was not. Even with that... We would definitely use the place again. It is very nice and the pictures are extremely accurate. The unit is also probably the best located in the complex. It's near everything and close to the front of the complex. Side note: If you stay here and need to go shopping or explore the general area of town, I encourage turning right out of the complex and the left of Dyer in refer to go to The Loop. Everything is there and it is newer and nice. If you turn left out the complex, you will end up in an area that's probably not the best part of town but there is a Walmart out that way."

  • Ticked all of our boxes

"The condo was exactly what we needed, as a family of 4, 2 boys (aged 9 and 14) it was ideal at an affordable price. Distance to parks was what we expected and the overall facilities of Venetian Bay Villages were spot on. It was."home from home" for our 17 night stay. No issues with any of the booking arrangements or the response time from Darlene, the owner. 3 pools, although we did not use them a lot, grounds were nice, well maintained with good security (no issues at all on this front). Washing machine and tumble drier came in very handy! Used the gym facilities a lot, and they were more than adequate and very cool to work out in which was nice... On the odd occasion where the gym was too full, I used Planet Fitness just a few hundred metres away. If there was one downside (and it really is minor) the staff at reception on arrival could just do with being a little more friendly toward people who simply don't know how the "system" works, a nice smile and a bit of help with the forms etc. Would be so nice in day of arrival. Thanks Darlene, we would have no hesitation returning or recommending in the future."

  • Very Comfortable

"The unit is perfect for a family to stay in! We have teens and we couldn't have been happier. The beds are terrific, the amenities at the complex were great, and we would recommend it to everyone. We were here for a baseball tournament, and while the rest of the team chose hotels, we chose this condo. It was such a great decision!"

  • We loved everything about this stay!

"First of all and most importantly: great communication with the owner. Response time was almost always within 1-2 hrs. The description of the unit was exactly as explained in HomeAway. Size of the home was perfect and very comfortable. There is a main pool and three other pools. This particular unit was close to the main office which was really nice when wanting to be at the pool in the late nights. Location was probably the best part of the whole stay! We are right in the middle of it all. If you make a left from Venetian Bay, you will be in the popular 192 street; where stores like Walmart, Aldis, restaurants, gift shops, Old Town and easy access to international drive and other routes that will lead you to popular parks. If you make a right you will be close to a shopping center called The Loop; an awesome shopping center with stores like Ross, Old Navy, JcPenny and more. Plus a movie theater. Venetian bay is the perfect spot. Literally every place we looked up was between 15-25 min. If I really wanted to be picky, the only cons that I found was that there is no Wi-Fi in the unit. You will have to go to the main office for internet access. And the other is that the "cable" is really just local news channels. But honestly when one is on vacation you will most likely spend the majority of your time out and about. So we did not miss the Wi-Fi or cable. I would definitely pick this location again whenever I am in Florida."
