  • Awesome and Relaxing weekend

"This lake house was perfect for our family (2 families with 4 kids). Very comfortable and well equipment with everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable and the lake front property was beautiful. It was nice to walk right out to the dock, where we had our boats and spend a day on the lake fishing and just cruising. I recommend this property for anyone who wants a quiet relaxing family weekend. Last but not least Steve was so nice and very accommodating. We will definitely be back!!"

  • Marvelous Estate/Retreat

"Are you ready to escape to the beauty of “Old” Florida. The way Florida used to look before strip malls and concrete covered over her history and majesty. Then you have chosen the right place with this rental. It begins in the front yard which is draped in giant Live Oaks, wearing their moss like a long beautiful mane of hair, testaments of strength and time. You are greeted with gentle breezes off the lake in the morning, as you have your coffee on the large covered veranda. You will glance across the lake, and see the white blooms on the lily pads, dancing in the mid-morning sun. The sandhill cranes fly in to feed on the acorns and along the water’s edge, tall and prehistoric looking. The blue heron, white egret, and mallard ducks, all make their visits to the premise, a wonder to behold. Each evening you will be greeted with amazing sunsets, dining on the table at the dock as the water reflects the brilliant pinks and oranges of the setting sun. You will watch the fish skip across the surface of the lake and if you are lucky, you will see the frogs hopping and swimming in and around the grasses along the bank. Drink your wine or cast a line as you enjoy the end of your day. The house is roomy and comfortable and evokes images of the Southern lifestyle of yesteryear. Privacy abound and extremely peaceful, at least in the month of April. The kitchen is very large and comfortable to work in. The bed was most comfortable though I only used 1 of the 10 offered. There is a TV in every room but I was so fascinated with the outdoors, I did not even turn one on. AT&T cell service was 4 bars all week and internet worked great. Things to Note: The a/c is pre-programmed to stay at 74 degrees Fahrenheit or above which can make sleeping uncomfortable for some. I might suggest bringing some fans, they also help with keeping mosquitos away on the porch. Bring your bug spray or fan, this is Florida. The sign marking the house is parallel with the street so easy to miss."

  • Hospitality PLUS!

"This is a secluded place to get away from everything and everyone! peaceful, quiet, and a lovely cottage to relax and unwind. plenty of hiking, and a nice big grassy lawn to play some badminton, or frisby. The Owners are so very nice, I feel like Doris is almost a friend, even though I have only been up there twice. I cant say enough about my time at Grasshopper lake!"
