  • More like a 3.5 but 3 seems too harsh

"While this home certainly has some positive qualities (and I will list them in paragraph two), there also are some part truths in the description. The "secured" golf course community has no more security than locks on the home's doors. The home actually sits directly adjacent to a rather busy road with the barrier of a large shrub on that side. The lanai is HUGE. It is also terribly dirty and with one working light bulb about 15 feet off the ground. The furnishings in the lanai consisted of four plastic chairs that were quite dirty. The "grill" is a small metal propane cooktop on a terribly dirty metal table. This all makes the lanai mostly unusable and an unpleasant space. The landscape, while once possibly beautiful, is in need of much care. Each the kitchen sink and one of the master bathroom sinks dripped continuously. We had trouble accessing the WiFi. The owner said she would have someone call to help us about WiFi but we got no call. The positives are that Apopka was a nice community with many things for us to do and is easily accessible to other areas. The lot is huge. The owner was prompt in responding when setting up the stay and also while we were at the house. The house is quite large and all on one level and with a bit more attention to the details, it could be great."

  • The property was great

"The house was great! Clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The layout was nice downstairs. We didn't spend any time on the 3rd floor, but it had a lot of character. Also the sweeping porch and big front yard with a fence was a nice surprise! Loved sitting on the swing on the porch! The location was great for walking downtown for icecream after dinner. Highly recommend. Rhonda was great at communicating with me throughout the stay as needed."

  • Great place for a long week!

"This is a great little villa with everything you could need for a trip! My family came in for my nephew's birthday and it was perfect. The villa is spacious but cozy. It had everything we needed to make our week perfect and it felt like home away from home. Parking can be a little tricky if you get in a bit late as the parking lots seem to fill up quickly. We only had this problem one night and just had to walk a few blocks to get back to the villa. Dave was wonderful, greeting us when we first arrived and explaining how things worked. He answered all of our questions patiently and was very welcoming. The only thing I'd wish for was a golf cart to get to the pool faster! :)"

  • Beautiful historic home

"If you want to be in the heart of Thornton Park, you can't get any better than Margaret's beautiful home. It's a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay. You can walk to Lake Eola, the Thornton Park restaurants, go downtown, or get massages (like we did) at the Thornton Park Spa. The house is beautifully updated, but retains its historic charm. We loved sitting on the front porch having our morning coffee and watching all the people walk by. The house is very quiet inside and the beds are very comfortable. Margaret is very accommodating and everything you need is provided. We will definitely be back!"
