  • Only a 45 Second drive to the beach!

"Great response time to our e-mails! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Lots of beach "stuff" available. I enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning . My husband has some health limitations so we drove to the beach. It is really only a 45 SECOND drive ( I timed it ) and parked in the lot Greg listed. Lots of places to eat nearby. The best pizza was on the far end of the Daytona boardwalk at King's. Have a slice, or whole pie. Played 9 holes of golf at Cypress Head in Port Orange in the evening ( very reasonable!) and then to Ritter's for our favorite ice cream. The tub/shower combo might be a little narrow for some folks but worked fine for me. This is an older home,. Nice fenced-in backyard for kids to play with high privacy fence. Everything Greg listed in the descriptive is accurate. If you are looking for accommodations that give you more privacy than the high rise condos, I think you will enjoy "Seatreat"."

  • A great Hawaiian Inn stay

"My husband and I was at our room from December 26 to December 31, 2016. The room is on the first floor and you walk out to your own patio, from there to the mini putt-putt course. On the other side is a fence that separates you from the beach and ocean. Every morning you wake up to the sound of the waves and the light of the sunrise. During the day you can hang out at the beach or beside the big pool. The Inn has a restaurant and a bar outside for your convenience. And in the evening there is an indoor heated pool that is next door to the room. It is so warm it feels like a hot tub. For the room it is just the right size for two people and VERY clean. The kitchen looks brand new with very thing you need (refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker). The bathroom is small but it has everything you need. They had all the towels and linens that we needed for a week so that they did not bother us the whole week we were there. There is also a separate entrance from the parking lot for coming and going. I recommend this room highly, and I will stay here again when I come back down."

  • Magnificent Condo !

"Amazing Condo on Daytona Beach Shores! Absolutely loved it! Everything about the condo was beautiful. It was well stocked with chairs, umbrellas, towels, games, and kitchen items! Our grandchildren loved the games. The transition process was excellent, explaining all the details. The owner was very kind and even left a thank you card welcoming us along with yummy snacks. We highly recommend this Condo. Great view of the ocean. Plan on returning!"

  • Some good, some average

"As the title might suggest we had a love/hate relationship with this condo. I will cover some of the best features first because ultimately some of the things we didn't like others may be ok with. The owner is perhaps the best I've worked with from a communication standpoint. She is quick and thorough and addresses anything you have questions about. The photos are spot on, it is exactly as depicted, especially the amazing view from the porch. The amenities at the Hawaiian are terrific, the pool is huge, the hammocks are great and comfortable to lounge in under palms while basking in the sun. Tiki bar is lively and friendly. Beach access from the condo is perfect (you have your toes in the sand in under a minute!). The condo size is perfect for two people or a small family of three but I wouldn't go more than that. Location of the Hawaiian is outstanding as well. Walking distance to Winn Dixie and just a short car ride or Lyft to the pier. Beach is never crowded because it is huge like all of Daytona (it's why we keep coming back). There is a great beach shop in the lobby. Some negatives (which I think can all be addressed with a little TLC): the room is damp. A dehumidifier is provided and we had to run it nearly the entire time. There may be mold issues in this unit as we both came away with chect congestion. The kitchen is intended for small use so don't plan on making huge meals. With that said, we cooked local caught fish one night and chili another along with breakfast omelettes. Cookwear is great, but the eating utensils were almost comical. They were tiny and extremely cheap. Keurig coffee maker is great! The bed.....I wish I could report we slept like babies, but it was like a torture devise. We had to put a topper on it just to get through our stay. TV/cable was fine but I had to get new batteries for the remote and the TV power button still doesn't work on the remote but you can still turn it on with the power button on the back. The Hawaiian irrigation sprinklers come on at night and early morning. Normally not a problem, but the water smells heavily of sulphur. It was so bad it was hard to breath one night. The bathroom is a very small typical hotel bathroom with no fan. Overall, you get what you pay for. I would recommend this for couples on short stays of around 3 days. We were visiting in the winter and the weather was amazing (70s every day) but in the summer it may be even better because you can stay out of the condo longer."
