  • Absolutely Fantastic!

"This was our first time staying at the Horizons Condos and we were very impressed. The condo is spacious and just as described. The view of the beach is perfect. A nice bonus was the underground parking. You don't think about it until it's 95° outside and you get in your vehicle to go eat dinner and it's not scorching hot from the sun. The beds were comfortable, the pool was nice, the beach was never crowded and it was quiet the entire time we were there. 0 noise from others staying there. Only drawback (if there was one) occasionally the people in the condo next door would be smoking in their condo so much it filtered into the hallway, but never into our condo. If that's all I have to complain about, I don't really have a lot to complain about. The owners of the property were very helpful from the time we booked the property until the day we left. Their communication was clear and they were easy to get a hold of when we were checking in. My son and I hired a guide to take us fishing for tarpon out of Ormond Beach. If you are looking for a good fishing guide I would recommend Eric Greenstein. My son is 9 and I could not have asked for a better experience and hospitality. http://www.fishtomoka.com/ If you are looking for a good place to eat I would suggest the Charlie Horse restaurant a couple of miles north of the condo, also in Ormond Beach. If you want an enjoyable vacation for your family, don't think about it, book it."

  • July 4th family vacation

"The condo was everything and more it was advertised to be. We have stayed in the building before and this unit was outstanding. If is furnished with upgrades and has a well furnished kitchen and bathroom. I will definitely request this unit next year when we return to Daytona."

  • I want to move in.

"My wife, our son (14), our nephew (14) and I stayed here from 7/9 (check-in) - 7/16 (check-out). We all loved it. The Unit: Everything we needed for our stay was provided and it was in good condition. Well, except for those things noted in the agreement like paper products, etc. There was enough toilet paper, soap, etc to get us through the first night which was nice. The view from this unit is incredible. I spent every night on the massive balcony watching the ocean, the people on the beach and later the people being launched into the night sky on the slingshot at the pier. Who needs TV when you have that view. Just FYI, TV is provided and there is a large selection of cable channels to watch. I happily only watched 15 minutes of TV during the whole stay. The condo is close enough to the pier that you can walk to it. I think it's 1.8 miles and makes for a nice beach walk. It is also far enough that all that pier craziness doesn't impact your time at the beach. The location is perfect. The Beach: It wasn't crowded, everybody had space to spread out on the beach. The beach in front of the condo is clean, almost totally shell free and has a gradual slope into the ocean. On average I'd say the waves were about 3 feet tall. That sounds small but there is a lot of power in a 3 foot wave. As the tide came in we got some 5 footers that made wave jumping a lot of fun. This is my favorite beach when compared to Virginia Beach, Myrtle, Marco Island, Ft. Walton or Clearwater. Waikiki beats out Daytona, but that's a lot longer drive. :-) Juan and Mercedes: Juan is an excellent communicator and we had no issues with checking in or out. He has the unit's keys in a lock box on the unit's front door. That's much better than the last place we stayed where the keys were in a lock box two miles from the unit. Everything was great and that's because they put the effort into making it great. I'd definitely stay here again and I'd seriously move in if Juan wanted to adopt a 42 year old from Ohio. In closing, Juan and Mercedes, thank you very much for opening your home to us and helping us to have a memorable and wonderful family vacation. I highly recommend this unit to anyone thinking about a vacation at the beach."
