  • Beautiful Apartment

"We have stayed at Sea Coast Gardens several times (booked through Great Ocean Condos). This complex is our favorite in New Smyrna. We love the large pools & no parking on the beach. We always choose our units very carefully because we love the updated look & this condo does not disappoint. The owners have done a gorgeous job renovating this property! They opened up the kitchen and it's much more spacious! They also took out a closet to make the 2nd bedroom bigger. We LOVE the bunk beds in this unit. We also really appreciated the new mattress in the master. Very firm & comfortable. The bunk beds & kitchen are actually what made us switch from our other favorite unit. The views are side views but definitely great! I loved being on the 2nd floor so it's easier to use the stairs over the elevator. The only real complain was the tv. It has an app where you can sign in so you can watch your own netflix or amazon or whatever. The app is super slow and we never got it to work. We haven't had this issue in other condos we've rented. We fly in from Texas so we aren't able to bring any extras with us. I would rent this condo again in a minute. There are a few things I wish this unit did have: a blender (frozen drinks at the beach!!), non stick pans for scrambled eggs in the morning, a sun (shade) umbrella for the beach, and beach chairs that have more than lay down or sit straight up positions. These are definitely nit picky things. But we rent a lot in Sea Coast and find these items to be standard. Also, if you are local & can bring your own, I thought this would be helpful for you to know what to bring with you. Definitely rent this unit! You will not regret it."

  • Fantastic Location!

"Four adults (one couple, two singles) and a dog stayed in this property this past weekend. We were very pleased with the property - it was very comfortable, spacious enough for us all to spread out, and was completely outfitted with everything we needed, down to beach towels, bikes and boogie boards. And the location is simply fantastic! We walked everywhere - beach, bars, shops, restaurants. We also felt very safe in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this rental and we hope to come back sometime soon!"

  • Great home for a family vacation

"Communication with Sheila was great, fast and direct and the rental process was easy. My family of 9 rented this house for a week in August. The house is a funky beach house with a little bit of everything. The most important thing is the spacious living and dining room and kitchen areas which is where you spend most of the time. Great views of the beach, comfortable, open and spacious. Everything was clean and in decent shape. The kitchen utensils/stuff could have been a little better and more of them, but we managed. The outdoor grill needs replacement but served its purpose for one meal. There are many stairs in this house and it can be a challenge for elderly persons. To get into the house and to go to the beach. But then again, it is what makes it different to others. The pool is on the front of the house and while we didn’t use it as much, it is a nice addition and a way to cool off and get rid of the saltiness quickly! The 10’x10’ portable tent and four Tommy Bahamas’ beach chairs that came with the house are a nice addition and are great to set up your space in the beach. Two bikes are in the garage, which were great to ride up/down the beach. The beach has hard sand next to the shoreline and riding bikes, running and walking is easiest. Some toys and boogey boards are also available. The house has many canoes as well to enjoy at the beach. Access to the beach thru the back of the house is difficult and as much as I tried to level the steps and weed out the area, it is a challenge. There’s a public access just one house to the north but that’s a walk and you have flights of stairs as well. A good clean up of weeds, exotics and invasive plants, and wider/better steps to the beach would make the adventure of going to the beach a fun event. Cars can drive on the beach and it takes a bit to get used to and they are literally right next to you as you sit on the beach. Low tide allows you to get a little further away from them. The supermarket and stores are 5 minutes away and very convenient. The downtown is small and beachy and fun to visit. This house is a great beach house and I recommend it to anyone looking for one. Compared to many other houses that we have stayed in, it offers a great value for the dollar. And having the ocean right in front of you is what makes it very special."

"Wonderful stay on the beach! A garage full of bikes, surfboards, skimboards, boogie boards, paddle board, beach chairs, sun covers, washer/dryer. Just bring your clothes! Clean and comfortable. Easy bike ride to restaurants and stores. Nice pool. Beautiful view!"
