  • The Charm of Old Florida

"If I could give this wonderful home six stars instead of five, I'd do just that. It's a beautiful home in a very private environment. From the moment you turn the key and walk through the front door, everything you could possibly want for great vacation is there waiting for you. There's a large fenced in back yard with trees and flowering plants that is perfect for people and pets as well. Sit in front of the chimea in the evening, enjoy a cocktail, watch the stars and wish you could stay there forever."

  • Hidden Gem in Paradise

"When I think of of this beautiful home I use the words relaxing, amazing, clean, comfortable, home and magical. This property in one word is "perfect" Glenn was there to meet us when we arrived. He gave us the lay of the land and where we could find things in the rental. The house is beautiful and well cared for. It's decorated in a warm and somewhat old Florida way. That's not to say it wasn't loaded with modern amenities because it is but it is filled with a warm, funky, kitschy, bright and welcoming vibe. You instantly want to kick your shoes off and soak in all the home has to offer. A full and well stocked kitchen with both vintage and modern appliances awaits down a step from the main living area. Two large windows overlook the amazing pool. To the left is an outdoor bar area with sink, counter tops and a grill. The kitchen has all the appliances you'll need and has all the kitchen accessories you have at home. On the main living level (one step up from the kitchen) you'll find a nice dining area with very comfortable chairs and a living room with comfortable furniture and a television. Want to play a game? Open the old cabinet and you'll find it stocked. The bedroom is just off the living room and has doors on both side so if you're traveling with a child you can have privacy but still be close by. We traveled with a teenager and she felt like she had her own space. She slept on the pullout sofa and said it was reasonably comfortable. The bedroom was comfortable and had plenty of places to put clothing both folded and hung. It also boasts a TV and great lighting to read by before bed. The bed while kind of bouncy was surprisingly comfortable and we slept well. Most nights we were lucky enough to be able to keep the windows open The bathroom boasts a 1950's meets modern style with a large walk in shower and a very large, just outside the in shower door - an very nice outside shower! What a great way to start or end the day! The pool was divine with lions on all four corners. Crystal clear water. The river is also easily accessible and we used the kayaks. Seeing dolphins while out was the highlight of our trip. We can't wait to return. I'm already suffering withdrawals from not having coffee on the patio this morning! If you're looking for comfort and privacy you shouldn't past by this property. It's very centrally located. Close to grocery and pharmacy, restaurants and both Melbourne and Vero."

  • Quite impressive!

"We were enchanted with the property the minute we pulled into the driveway and even more amazed that the pictures do this home no justice. Completely clean, well stocked with anything you could have possibly thought of (or forgot :)). Very nice and quiet neighborhood, but close within range to all amenities. Close to the most beautiful (and uncrowded) beach I've ever been on. There were 6 in my family (two teens and two preteens included) staying there and the house was spacious enough so we didn't feel crowded or on top of each other. The owners were attentive to any questions we had (such as where to find the wifi password lol). While we were there, we visited the local Chinese restaurant (no delivery but a five minute drive away), Captain Butcher's for a delicious seafood meal, About Kayaks for a self-tour through the St. Sebastian River, Sebastian Inlet Park and the Brevard Zoo. Overall, we were delighted with our stay here and look forward to visiting again soon. A sincere thank you to our hosts, for our stay at Casa Tortuga helped our family create lifetime memories in a relaxing environment!!!!"

  • Awesome cottage. A step back in time.

"Words can't describe. Just returned home after spending eight nights here and it was awesome. Very tastefully decorated and so comfortable. The owner was awesome. We discovered we had no hot water and within minutes, the owner had a plumber on the the way. Without a doubt, this was one of my best rentals ever. Will definitely be returning."
