  • Just Perfect!

"Our family loves the beach and we will typically try to get in a couple of long weekends and one full week at the beach every summer. This year, instead of paying separately for a few different trips, we decided to rent Heather and Eric’s wonderful beach home for the entire month of July. Even though I knew we could not spend the entire month there (as much as I would have liked to!) I knew we would be able to look forward to every weekend and then take my one week’s vacation on the last week of the month. As a bonus, we would be able to bring along our four legged members of the family, Polly and Max. Living only an hour and a half away (in Central Florida) this arrangement worked out fantastic. We had never actually stayed in Ormond by the Sea and when we arrived to Heather and Eric’s cute beach bungalow that first night, we were so pleased! The house is a perfect beach retreat, very comfortable, extremely well kept, and we immediately felt right at home. One of the very best things about this particular beach home is its wonderful, tropical, shaded back yard. (I did not see any other home with a backyard as nice!) Not only the atmosphere of the tropical foliage, but the all the great shade it provides, made it an amazing place to relax no matter what the time of day, even in the afternoon heat. And the breezes in the evening were amazing. Our furry friends thought so too! There are two perfect palm trees to string up a portable hammock (definitely bring one along – Amazon.com for about 20 bucks!) and the outdoor patio came to life with the tiki torches we bought. The other great thing about this location is that although Ormond is a small beach town, there is so much to do besides the beach. A short drive takes you to Ponce Inlet or St. Augustine, but the town itself is filled with parks and historical sites. There is dock at the end of the street for fishing or kayaking, or you could take a short drive to Tomoka State Park or the amazing pier under the Granada bridge. Another plus is that there are so many conveniences just a short walk away – practically anything you need you can pick up at Dollar General at the end of the road, grab a slice of Pizza from Lenny’s around the corner or a Mahi taco from Crabby Chris’, wax for your surfboard at the surfshop, or a cold beer from the Beachside Brew Pub! I simply cannot say enough about how we loved this location and especially Heather and Eric’s fantastic beach home. I cannot wait to return!"

  • Nice condo. Everything you need for everyday living

"Nice condo. Very comfortable. Everything is walking distance to the condo. The village is close, restaurants, parks and the harbor is right out your door. I'm a walker, so I love that there are many places to walk. I have stayed at this building many times before. I keep coming back, so that says a lot. This particular condo is comfortable. Couch is comfy & bed is comfy. There's everything you need in the kitchen. TV is good, I didn't watch it much, I was having fun doing other things. There is a lot of urban noise, trains, traffic & boats. The pool is awesome. It's clean and refreshing. All the years I've been staying at these condo's, I've never seen anyone in the pool. So you have it to yourself! There is just one thing that I've never had a problem with before... and that's parking. Maybe because it's summertime. People going to the parks and surrounding restaurants, and local workers, like to park in this lot. Total disregard for the tenants that need to park at their residence. I was warned about the 4th of July, but it happened every day. I watched people park and then walk away to wherever they were going. Other than that, I had a spectacular stay at this condo. I extended my stay from a week, to ten days. Cheryl was easy to deal with, and always responded to my emails. Lisa is always there for you too, Lisa is a pleasant person as well. Five star stay. I love Melbourne. I never want to leave."

  • Don't look any more!

"We stayed in this condo for a week in September 2015. The place was even nicer than the pictures. Lots of room. Comfortable beds. Very clean. BIG TV and cable. The kitchen was better than any I have seen before. Well equipped for cooking most any meal. Ocean view is beautiful. Two sets of sliding glass doors makes for a lovely view. Sunrise from the balcony. Also the beach is only a few steps from the front door. Beautiful pool. If you want to stay on the beach and eat meals in your condo, the grocery is about 3 miles away. Or eat fresh seafood at many places in town. We ate at JBs Fosh Camp, PJs seashack, and Off The Hook are excellent choices. We went to Cape Kennedy Park. Highly recommend. Also Cape Shore National Park is right down the street. You won't be sorry to book this condo for your stay on the beach. Kathy is very easy to deal with and the people in the on site office were extremely nice and helpful. We plan to stay here again soon!"

  • Awesome family vacation!!!

"Stayed for a week with kids and grandchildren. The beach is beautiful. Walked it every morning with my wife and our coffee. Your beach house was fantastic! The house is very clean and comfortable with an excellent kitchen. It was nice to find beach chairs, buckets, shovels, etc. in the garage. Having a washer and dryer was good as well. We had never been to New Smyrna and found it to be very nice with many great restaurants. The public golf course not far away is good and reasonable. Looking forward to coming back!!!"
