  • Awesome Place!!

"We arrived a day earlier than we were scheduled and the owner was very accommodating to our needs! She kept in contact with us for the months leading up to our arrival! Everything listed on her website is accurate! The Waves is a beautiful, clean, quiet place to come! The pool was beautiful! The ocean was just 2 blocks down so it's an easy walk! The condo itself was clean, updated and very comfortable. It had everything you would need aside from food and personal necessities. The master bed is so incredibly comfortable. The pull out hide a bed even was comfortable. Ceiling fans in all the rooms made it cool and comfortable! The owner was very nice to talk to and got right back to me if I had any questions! The other guests in the other condos were very nice and easy to talk to. Woody's on the water is just a couple blocks down and I HIGHLY recommend that you go there for lunch or dinner! There is a grocery store and Walgreens just a few blocks from condo and lots of shopping and restaurants along Gulf Blvd. Direct access to Maderia Beach, Treasure Island, John's Pass and so much more. Get there by the local trolley or Free Beach Ride. We are definitely going to go back to The Waves and staying in this condo! Its everything you would ever need and more!!!! GREAT PLACE!!!! We loved it there!!"

  • Ideal Location

"Sue was extremely easy to work with and response time was very quick. Clearwater Beach is very "spring breaky", while Sand Key is 2 miles south across the bridge and very relaxing. This put us close enough to ride our bikes around Clearwater if we wanted to, but we didn't have to deal with all the crowds all the time. The pool/grill area was great and very well kept, and the PRIVATE beach was exceptional. Every unit in the building faces the ocean, so the views are spectacular. The property is gated with security guards on duty 24/7, and they even walk the ground. I felt so comfortable I would just leave our mountain bikes in the bed of my truck not even locked up. There is a convenience store and deli directly across the street, which we didn't think would matter a ton, but it turned out to be EXTREMELY CONVENIENT! I forgot a few things and throughout the week needed some other things and I just walked across the street. Did I mention the private beach you can just walk out to?? Most places in Clearwater have "close beach access" where you are within walking distance to a public beach, but you may have to walk a block or 2 or go across streets or deal with RIDICULOUS crowds. Here you can walk out of the building and be on the beach within a minute! May take you a couple minutes to walk all the way to the water because the beach is huge. Its great not having to deal with parking, and then lugging all your beach stuff down, etc etc. Just stumble down there and if you forget something or need to use the restroom, you can just go right back up to your room. Courtesy shower on the wooden walkway leading down there as well as the pool area if you wanna lounge at the pool after the beach. Pool and hot tub are lighted, so it made for a great night time lounging at the pool. We didn't go to any other beaches the entire time we were there. Saw tons of dolphins, and even a manatee came right up to the beach. Grills were great, as we grilled some fresh fish that we caught after a great day of fishing, and everything I needed to cook my own fish I got at the convenience store. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Fun in the sun!

"Had a blast staying at this wonderful location! Clearwater Beach is the perfect place for a family getaway! Stayed at this location with my parents, two children, and my sister and her husband. There was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen has everything you may need, and a small store is within walking distance. Note that one bedroom (the one with the Florida Gators bed) has a very small bed, and would be a little cramped for two people. My kids loved the movies in the bunk bed room, and had a blast sitting in the hot tub on the roof morning, noon, and night! The elevator was great for my dad, who has a bad knee (there are a lot of steps in this condo). All in all, my family loved this condo. My only complaints are that the carpet is a bit dirty, and the place could use a fresh coat of paint. However, with two kids staying there, it was nice to not worry too much about the carpet. The garage contains many beach chairs, an umbrella, a small cooler, volleyballs, and tons of sand and water toys. It also has high chairs and an umbrella stroller. This condo is a good value overall , especially for a large family with children. Also remember that the traffic into and out of Clearwater Beach can be a huge nightmare, so keep this in mind."

  • Delightful studio, very short walk to beach and sights

"My husband and I (and our dog) stayed in this studio for a week and really enjoyed it. We looked at many vacation rentals and hotels in the area, and this was under the cost for the location--hotels tended to be around $180 a night, and didn't have full kitchens. Other vacation rentals were a bit more expensive, but some of them could sleep more people, but for just two people (or perhaps a couple and a child) this was more than enough for our needs. It was also great to be able to have dog, especially given that the beach is dog friendly beginning 1 block north of the unit. Unit: The vaulted ceilings in the studio make it seem much larger than the square footage. The photos are representative. The bed and couch were comfortable. The outdoor deck and table (with umbrella) was nice for eating on the deck. There is a small view of the ocean from the deck, but it is not an "ocean view" deck. We enjoyed being able to see the bustle of people on the street from the deck without being a part of it. Amenities: We found the kitchen to be well stocked with dishes and utensils for all of our cooking needs. The Wifi was really easy to access, which is unusual for vacation rentals. There it was quick and easy to connect. We brought an Apple TV and had no trouble streaming Netflix movies in the room. There are chairs and floats for use at the beach if you need them, and there are plenty of towels for shower and beach use. Location: It is a *very* short walk to the beach, and the north end of the beach is far less crowded or touristy than the south end. We really appreciated the quiet and more "low-key" feel of being on the North Beach side of Clearwater Beach. However, it is also really short walk (about 15-20 minutes depending on how fast you walk or whether you walk on the beach or road) to get down to Pier 60 where all of the charter boats and excitement are happening. It is also really close to the Palm Pavillion, which is a great place to listen to live music and watch the sunset. Despite the walk from the more populated areas, we found it safe to walk back after dark and a safe place to walk our dog in the evening. Management/Owner: It was a delight working with Joe! He was responsive and very helpful. Anytime we had a question we heard from him virtually immediately, and he returned our security deposit within 24 hours of checking out -- on a Sunday, no less. I would love to have all VRBO owners to be this pleasant and professional!"
