  • Bicycle friendly with a bonus

"We were looking for a rental with access to the local bike trail.....which is a wonderful trail and is heavily used. This location is less than a mile from an access point traveling over a community road that is totally bike friendly. Additionally, the home is on a lake with a west view of the sunset and also is located very close to a pair of nesting sand hill cranes. The cranes walked across the lakeshore morning and evening with their new chick, whether we were in the yard or not. We also enjoyed watching other wildlife. Deer, egrets, ducks, alligators etc. A very calm and peaceful location. Nearby Inverness had some good restaurants and the Gulf Coast was less than an hour away......more restaurants and great seafood. The rental was spacious and in an area of owner occupied lakefront residences. There is a lot to do in the area. We familiarized ourselves with the Floral City Bike shop and learned a lot about recumbent trikes."

  • Great Weekend Getaway!

"Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young children) stayed here during Labor Day weekend 2016. The owners were great in keeping us updated on the condition of the house.(hurricane passed through the area the day before we were to arrive.) The house was cozy - but more than enough room for the four of us. We loved the deck, the firepit, and dock. We were able to utilize the canoe and took a nice trip down the river, stopping at Roger's Park and petting a Manatee and it's pup. The house is very close to a beach (closed for us though) and Weeki Wachee Park. The park was a lot of fun, great water slides, very nice mermaid show, floating dock, and all at an extremely reasonable price. We ate at Upper Deck one night - probably wouldn't go back - overpriced - but wife enjoyed the crab cakes. The other night we used the Grill. Definitely something that has seen better days, but we used some aluminium foil and so it did the trick. Fire pit is Gas - doesn't make a large fire, but good enough to make s'mores and some memories. The kids loved their room and the nice bunk beds in there. The master bedroom was nice and bed was very comfortable. The owners were very nice and came by to clean up the yard on Saturday. We wish we had at least another day there. I highly recommend this house for a couple or small family. One suggestion I have is leave a long lighter for guest to use the grill and fire pit. The nice neighbors let us borrow theirs. A new grill might be in order soon too, but if you use aluminium foil it wasn't a problem for burgers and hot dogs. Bring your fishing rod - lots of fish jumping all around the dock."

  • Perfect clean vacation home

"I stayed here in October and was very pleased with the home. It was clean and well maintained. There was a broken coffee pot and I contacted the owner and she had brought over a brand new one within 30 mins and her property manager brought me over fresh coffee while I waited for the new coffee pot. They went above and beyond to fix the very small problem. The pool was clean. I enjoyed my stay here and when I go back to Florida I will book this house again. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!!"

  • Bright, clean, peaceful and well appointed home

"I really enjoyed my stay here. The home was clean and well organized, well stocked with dishes, cookware, and accoutrement. Helpful binders full of information. The home is very roomy and comfortable. The pool overlooks a beautiful patch of land. This is also a golf course, so expect early morning golfers and afternoon golf carts. They can be somewhat noisy 😀 there are supermarkets, restaurants, and shopping nearby. It's close to both 19 and 589. No Starbucks close by, but there is one about a 5 or 6 minute drive away. Not much in way of traffic. Very, very relaxing. So many towels! I would rent this place again and again. I absolutely loved it. The owners are wonderful and overall this was a fabulous experience."
