  • Great House!

"We just returned from a week stay at the Brooksville house. We were there for a wedding. We had 8 of our family staying at this large a spacious property. It could not have been better. Plenty of room to accommodate our large group. The pool and outdoor area were a well used bonus for us. The beds were comfortable with plenty of linens and towels for everyone. The owners were easy to work with and addressed our every need. The area was fun to explore with plenty of options. We took an easy trip to Tampa for a hockey game. We also went to Tampa multiple times to pick up and deliver family members at the airport. A day trip to near by Tarpon Springs was fun for us. We would not hesitate to rent from the Hunters in the future. We found the house particularly suited for a group our size."

  • Comfortable, Clean, Calming

"An absolutely beautiful view of sunset over the Gulf of Mexico and a wonderful "Good Morning" scene with the sun rise. An easy 1/2 mile walk to the end of the island is good exercise. The private beach is an awesome place for quiet contemplation, reading a book, enjoying the dolphins paying in the cove, or picking seashells. The deck is a great place to gather for a late afternoon drink while watching the sunset. There are several fine restaurants within 10 miles with Italian, Japanese, Latin or American cuisines. And best of all a local family owned seafood market for the very freshest and best of Florida gulf seafood."

  • Wonderful stay

"The property is spacious and beautiful. It is clean and orderly. Nice furniture and comfortable arrangement for a large or small group. The deck off the living room gives a great view of the river and the kayaks, boats, birds and other traffic on the water. We saw an eagle (or osprey) swoop down and catch a fish in the river in front of the house! Manatees go by regularly. The Kayak Shack is on the other side of the bridge if you want to rent a kayak for a couple of hours or schedule a float trip from the Weeki Wachee springs. There are many small local restaurants with wonderful food and reasonable prices. Eating out is affordable here. Would recommend this place to anyone."

  • Clean, nice location

"My husband, me and our 2 friends enjoyed staying here. The house was clean and updated. It was close to grocery stores and shopping. Located on a canal, it is a short paddle up to Weeki Wachee springs. Thanks for having the kayaks and canoes available, it saved on having to rent some. Great weekend! We will definetly stay here again if traveling to this area."
