  • Wow

"I wish I could keep this little place a secret but, it's obvious that it was discovered years before I had the chance. My husband and our two young daughters visited for the first time in May, 2016. As soon as we arrived, I was blown away with the unit and decor. It was adorable and oh so comfy. Best of all, the accessibility to stores, downtown Dunedin, bike trails, beaches and restaurants was devine. Having the use of the boat was the icing on the cake. We spent our days on the boat visiting all of the beautiful Beaches and islands. The dock was another favorite spot. We started every day with a cup of coffee on the dock and finished our day every evening on the dock watching the sunsets, viewing the array of sea life and talking to some locals, repeat visitors as well as Captain Alex and Janet. The last morning of our stay, my oldest daughter walked out onto the dock with me and cried because she didn't want to leave. Captain Alex and Janet are awesome and make you feel like you are part of the family. We cannot wait to return and hope to visit regularly from now on and for many years to come."

  • The property we stayed at was close to the beach and well equiped for our stay.

"Mona answered all our questions and made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. I would recommend Home Away to others."

  • Lovely Condo, Perfect Location

"My husband and I stayed the month of April 2016 in this condo on St. Joseph's Sound and very much enjoyed our time there. The condo is lovely, very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. The courtyard is very quaint and peaceful. The location couldn't be better, a 5-10 minute walk into downtown Dunedin to the shops and restaurants. The Pinellas Trail is a block away, perfect for walking into downtown, or to just go for a walk, jog or bike ride. Everyone in the complex is very friendly and most of them get together in the evening out by St. Joseph's Sound to watch the sunsets. A hidden Gem. Hope to stay again."

  • Awesome Getaway!

"This cottage met our expectations and more! The owners have created a lovely place for guests, in a very quiet, well kept neighborhood just blocks from the Gulf. The cottage was perfect for us - the size, the decor, all the beautiful spaces, and it's proximity to downtown Dunedin, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tarpon Springs. The backyard was a delight. A great place to have morning coffee, read a book, enjoy outside dining or just relax after a busy day. We loved being close to Weaver Park. It was easy for Nino to hop on his bike, fishing rod in tow and cast to his hearts content. Also a favorite for our granddaughter. The availability of the bikes was a big plus. We used them a lot, on and off the Pinellas bike trail. We made good use of the State Park pass and went often to Honeymoon Island State Park and took the ferry to Caledesi State Park a too. Both islands are close by and at this time of year we had them pretty much to ourselves! Beautiful white sand beaches, nature trails, eagles, osprey, herons, ibises, tortoises, armadillos, roseate spoonbills, pelicans, tons of sea shells... all make for fun and interesting outings not far from the cottage. We walked Hammock Park a number of mornings; just a few blocks from the cottage with many nice wooded trails to explore. The cottage is appointed so well; when we decide to cook in we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed eating on the back porch and at the gazebo area...not something we could do back in MN in November! Loved, loved all the choices of restaurants in Dunedin. We tried many....Sea Sea Rider, Casa Tina's, The Living Room, Smokehouse, Kelly's, Olde Bay Cafe, Hog Island Fish Market, Happys Bayou Bites, both ice cream places, and more. Hogfish, stone crabs and shrimp and grits were some of our favorites. We made it to Marker 8 several times -a great spot to watch the sun go down; free shots at sunset. There are several breweries in Dunedin. Had fun trying flights of the different brews. All good😋򒰊The cottage was a great place to have overnights for our 7yr old granddaughter. She loved the fires we had in the backyard chiminea, downtown Dunedin's shops, the Farmers Market, Paint-Your-Own-Pottery and felt very much at home with us. Once again we created some great memories for her and ourselves. The cottage is a winner and we hope to return soon."
