  • Peaceful holiday on The Gulf

"This is our fourth stay at West Coast Vista, my husband reviewed the condo after our first visit and I'm happy to say that the high standard set is still being maintained. The condo is located in a quiet block facing the Gulf, there is a designated shady parking space allocated. Inside it is well decorated and furnished, linens and towels are of good quality (plenty of extra towels in vanity unit) and the kitchen is well stocked with crockery, pans and utensils. However, it is the situation of this property that wins hands down, there is nothing quite like sitting on the balcony with breakfast or a cocktail and watching dolphins swim by or pelicans soaring above. The pool below is heated and has good sun loungers, then a few more steps and you are straight onto the sand. Bliss! There are many restaurants within walking or short driving distance. Publix supermarket is 5 minutes away in the car. We recommend a trip to Honeymoon Island State Park to see Osprey, Spoonbill and even a Bald Eagle. Follow this with a visit to nearby Dunedin. Of course The Dali Museum in St Petersburg is always worth a visit and after you could catch the ferry across the bay to Tampa. As Arnie said "we'll be back!""

  • Great stay

"We recently stayed in this condo for four days during our mid winter break from Upstate NY. Our biggest concern before coming was the proximity to water park and that it would be noisy. This was not an issue at all! The park is very low key and family oriented. Not at all rowdy. And a great amenity for a family with little kids like ours. The condo itself was very clean and new feeling. It was also pretty well stocked for cooking and eating in. The unit itself was long, meaning it is entered from an exterior hall on west side of building. So this means the interior is a little dark, with bathrooms and kitchens in middle and bedrooms on either side with windows. Beds were great. My only complaint about the unit itself is that hot water in baths and showers sometimes took 5-10 minutes to come, which is tough with little kids. You check in at neighboring hotel, which is a little strange, as there is no front entrance or desk to condos. This means you exit from elevator of the condo building into parking garage and have to walk around the building to enter the water park. It isn't far, but it is just a little awkward. The building itself seemed pretty empty for this time of year. Beach is literally two blocks away and lovely. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance - pizza, coffee, breakfast, etc. Overall we would definitely rent here again."

  • Cozy beach house with ample room

"We have stayed at this beach house for the past two years and have enjoyed our stay. We are a married couple with 2 small children (7 year old and 2 year old) and stayed in the house with my in-laws. The house is very charming and the location is great. A quick walk to the beach and other business that we found very convenient during our stay. The house has plenty of room in the first floor to entertain the kids and the porch was great for enjoying the evening with family and friends. My wife really enjoyed spending time on the hanging bed/sofa in the porch and took many midafternoon naps there. My morning ritual included a quick bike ride (included in the house) to the local donut shop and hanging on the hammocks before hitting the beach. The owners take good care of this house and its shows but if you want to stay in a place with marble floors, subzero appliances you should look into the tiny condo/apartments. We had friends staying in condos/apartments nearby and every night they will come over to spend time at the house. After a few days, it feels like a house you live in. Pros: Proximity to beach (5-minute walk). Space of the property. Very quiet and safe area. Close to businesses (pizza shop, ice cream parlor, surf shop, bait & tackle, convenience store). Great place to entertain friends. Fully stocked kitchen with every appliance you may need. Bikes, Barbeque and tons of beach gear on premises. Cons: Some of the appliances & bathrooms are dated and could use a refresher. Only one full bathroom."

  • Hidden Gem

"When we first entered the property, I realized we were entering a very cozy place. There were plenty of included items such as beach chairs, beach towels, and a beach blanket. One of the best things about Something Fishy was that the bed was extremely comfortable. Patty even was thoughtful enough to have sunscreen in the medicine cabinet of the bathroom in case we had forgotten it! Also, she provided all the laundry supplies, which was a huge blessing! We were steps from the beach and took advantage of long morning and evening walks. The sunsets were beautiful! Be apprised that this is a townhouse, and the bedrooms and the laundry are on the top floor, two flights up from the entry. Patty was wonderful to work with; giving us helpful hints about a trip into Tampa and suggestions for dinner in Indian Rocks Beach. (Guppy's was our favorite!) We would gladly stay here again if we returned to IRB!!"
