  • Perfect location !!

"Thank you Ron for sharing your home away from home with us. The girls and I had the most relaxing vacation. You cannot go wrong with this home slightly secluded but right on the beach(white powder-like sand) and steps away from the Gulf of Mexico! Who needs a car! We were within walking distance of shopping and restaurants! I suggest to anyone who stays @ Ron's to check out Walt's..Wonderful Grouper!"

  • Awesome Condo, Great View, Great Beach, Great Location!

"Everything was just as it was noted and explained to us. Reservations and check in were flawless. The condo is great, up to date and has everything you may need. Great ocean view from the oceanfront balcony! Beach was not crowded and only .6 miles from John's Pass Boardwalk. It was an easy walk whether by street or beach. The only reason we did not give 5 Stars was the dish washer does not rinse dishes well so when getting dishes from the cabinet from previous tenants they still had soap residue on them. We rinsed ours twice then just started hand washing them. But that was very minor over all and our stay was fabulous and we would definitely rent this condo again and completely recommend it!"

  • Fabulous views over a beautiful beach

"The apartment has the most wonderful views from the sitting room and master bedroom. The terrace is great. The bedrooms are large and the beds are super comfy AND massive. The pool and seating areas are kept immaculately clean. The well maintained beach is gorgeous with soft sand and the sea is beautiful to swim in. The apartment is well situated for using the tram to John's Pass and beyond. There are supermarkets and bars/restaurants nearby. The ones opposite have a basic menu but are good value for money and have great staff. The staff at the condo were friendly and helpful, particularly Jeff, who works so hard. It was easy to get around and we went out on a few trips eg dolphin watching, ten pin bowling, and to the cinema (love the reclining seats!). In the high heat and humidity of July it was difficult for us Brits to use the outside space as much as we would have liked (!)and the air conditioning was great in the living space but wasn't able to keep the bedrooms cool enough at night for comfort. The pool was coolest in the morning and quietest around 5pm. When the pool was busy it was rather full of lilos which wasn't always the best and you had to keep your wits about you if ball games were being played! There were some rather loud families staying at the same time as us who were taking their vacation very seriously beer wise but were fun to watch! The thunderstorms were dramatic and were great to watch from the terrace. A few minor improvements would make this place perfect: - better air con - more space in the kitchen for storing groceries as there was only one empty cupboard up high which was a challenge for anyone short (like me!) - a tin opener that works! - earlier pool opening as it doesn't open till 10 and we are early risers and love to swim in the cool of the morning, although we did swim in the sea at 8 am every day which was lovely - instructions on how all the equipment works eg cooker, dishwasher as it was unfamiliar to us, although we did work stuff out - some glass wine glasses rather than just plastic ones, we did try to find some to use and then donate but there were none at the Publixs we visited. But we had a relaxing week after the frantic activity of Orlando, thank you."

  • Lovely Vacation!

"We had a wonderful two weeks in Ocean Sands. I hesitated to give 5 stars because the kitchen and dishwasher could use an update, and some people might expect granite countertops for a 5 star rating, but it was more than adequate. Trudi is wonderful to work with, and seems like the kind of person you'd want to be friends with. We had problems with the sliding door - that salt air is brutal. As soon as we let Trudi know she called the maintenance man. The view from the large balcony is spectacular and there are enough seats so that our local family could visit and be comfortable. The balcony closet included some beach toys, noodles and a beach chair, and they were very welcome extras. It was the first time that our little granddaughter did not want to be held all the time in the pool - in fact all she wanted to do was float on those noodles! Only thing that could have been added were beach towels, since they are bulky to pack. Decor is nice, beds comfortable. Indoor parking spot is great, and needing a code to get into the building adds security. Good location - close to grocery, stores, Snack Shack. Many attractions a short drive away. Now I am thinking that I shouldn't encourage other people because we want to be able to go back!"
