  • Excellent location!

"Close to Brandon Westfield, restaurants, grocery stores. In addition, close to major highways, you can get to Downtown, south Tampa and Clearwater beach in a short drive. The apartment was very clean, had the basic stuff you need. The condo had a nice pool, playground for kids, gym that were very well maintained."

  • Awesome Place!!

"We arrived a day earlier than we were scheduled and the owner was very accommodating to our needs! She kept in contact with us for the months leading up to our arrival! Everything listed on her website is accurate! The Waves is a beautiful, clean, quiet place to come! The pool was beautiful! The ocean was just 2 blocks down so it's an easy walk! The condo itself was clean, updated and very comfortable. It had everything you would need aside from food and personal necessities. The master bed is so incredibly comfortable. The pull out hide a bed even was comfortable. Ceiling fans in all the rooms made it cool and comfortable! The owner was very nice to talk to and got right back to me if I had any questions! The other guests in the other condos were very nice and easy to talk to. Woody's on the water is just a couple blocks down and I HIGHLY recommend that you go there for lunch or dinner! There is a grocery store and Walgreens just a few blocks from condo and lots of shopping and restaurants along Gulf Blvd. Direct access to Maderia Beach, Treasure Island, John's Pass and so much more. Get there by the local trolley or Free Beach Ride. We are definitely going to go back to The Waves and staying in this condo! Its everything you would ever need and more!!!! GREAT PLACE!!!! We loved it there!!"

  • Perfect for us!

"My family (wife, daughter 17, and 2 dogs of about 40 lbs each) stayed here over Christmas while visiting family in the area. The description and pictures from the listing are a good representation of the unit, though it's even better in person (I was a rock star in my family for finding this place!) For us, this was perfect: great views of the intracoastal, wonderful balcony, nice pier, large and well appointed kitchen, large bedrooms, good bathrooms, and living areas. The garage was a bonus surprise, with a lot of play toys to use (beach toys, beach chairs, fishing gear, etc). The location is great; off the road so we couldn't hear road traffic, little boat noise, we felt very safe in the location and whole complex in general, and there are plenty of things to do both north and south along the beach road. Communication with the owner was great (all that we needed to know and not too much), the codes to get in were set up just right so we didn't need to check in with some management office that was only open certain times of the day (great because we got delayed and showed up at 1am), and we received our deposit back within the 2 weeks after our stay (just as the owner said we would). The area was large enough that we had about 13 others over for dinner one night, and we easily managed that between the dining area, living area, and outdoor balcony, though there is limited parking for guests. If you or your dogs have issues going up stairs, you need to look somewhere else. This will certainly be the first place I look at next time we go back....... as long as the rest of you haven't booked it - which was the only reason I didn't want to write this review! :) For dog owners: you will need to talk to Bruce about your pets before he approves you, but this is not a big deal; he's very nice and easy about this (he just needs to make sure the condo rules are followed with pet size). There is a decent size yard next to the pier but the dogs have to be on leash (Bruce made us away of this before); if having to keep your dogs on leash every time they wanted/needed to go outside and down the stairs, and back up the stairs, etc is a problem for you (all the time), you may want to look elsewhere. Also dogs are not allowed (leash or not) on this entire strip of beach. So not many good places for long dog walks. I really doubt we would have found anything else on the beach island that could have been better for dogs, but I just wanted you to be aware of this."

  • Older, but Nice River Getaway

"The location was great; right on the water! We brought our canoes/kayaks & had a great time on the river. The house was roomy enough for the 6 of us, plus we had some other family up for a picnic during the day. The oven/stove stopped working but we improvised and used the grill and microwave to finish everything up. I wasn't expecting the layout to be the way it was. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms, but the 2nd bedroom was only separated from the little den area by a partial wall/hutch like structure. All in all it was a cute, older home with the amenities we needed. The owner was awesome; very efficient in giving us information and answering our questions when we called. We're looking forward to another trip up to the river soon!"
