  • An 80th Birthday, An Impromptu Wedding and 8 Spectacular Sunsets!

"When it was time to plan a family gathering for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday it was clear that Seattle WA, Plano Tx and Columbus OH along with others from Palmetto FL and St. Petersburg FL would converge on Florida. We were blessed to come upon The Pink Palace and set out to book a week in this spectacular home. From the outset, working with Joe and Victoria was fantastic and it was clear that they wanted "this" to work out for us. We chose the right week that worked for all of the family who would be attending and it was all set. I have to say, it was all my dear wife Debra's doing and I just kinda stayed at a distance, trusting her to have made all the right decisions....she sure did! Seeing the pics of the home prior to arriving created a lot of excitement and seeing it in person did not disappoint! You can see it all for yourself by looking at the pictures of this beautiful home, so I won't go into detail about the pool, Jacuzzi, massive bedrooms, fantastic apartment above the garage, the beautiful beach, the daily dolphin sightings before your very eyes and only a hundred yards offshore, the fantabulous sunsets and the close proximity to Clearwater Beach......just unbelievable! Topping it off was the new friendship we developed with Joe and Victoria as they checked in and responded to a need or two we had while there.......their response and effort to resolve a minor yet annoying interruption, thank you lawn man for cutting the cable, simply reassured us that we had made the right choice. I'm surprised there are any weeks even open for booking as it seems that once someone stays there they'd immediately re-book for another visit.....we sure are! Thank you Joe, thank you Victoria......what a fantastic week or so we had in your beautiful home.....a memorable time for our family, one that will never be forgotten."

  • Great Weekend Getaway!

"Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young children) stayed here during Labor Day weekend 2016. The owners were great in keeping us updated on the condition of the house.(hurricane passed through the area the day before we were to arrive.) The house was cozy - but more than enough room for the four of us. We loved the deck, the firepit, and dock. We were able to utilize the canoe and took a nice trip down the river, stopping at Roger's Park and petting a Manatee and it's pup. The house is very close to a beach (closed for us though) and Weeki Wachee Park. The park was a lot of fun, great water slides, very nice mermaid show, floating dock, and all at an extremely reasonable price. We ate at Upper Deck one night - probably wouldn't go back - overpriced - but wife enjoyed the crab cakes. The other night we used the Grill. Definitely something that has seen better days, but we used some aluminium foil and so it did the trick. Fire pit is Gas - doesn't make a large fire, but good enough to make s'mores and some memories. The kids loved their room and the nice bunk beds in there. The master bedroom was nice and bed was very comfortable. The owners were very nice and came by to clean up the yard on Saturday. We wish we had at least another day there. I highly recommend this house for a couple or small family. One suggestion I have is leave a long lighter for guest to use the grill and fire pit. The nice neighbors let us borrow theirs. A new grill might be in order soon too, but if you use aluminium foil it wasn't a problem for burgers and hot dogs. Bring your fishing rod - lots of fish jumping all around the dock."

  • Lovely Thanksgiving Holiday

"My family of three young adults, my husband and I stayed in the townhome the week of Thanksgiving in order to share the holiday with my brother in Ruskin and other family members in the area. The location was great not only for visiting our family, but also for recreational outings. It was only a short drive to Tampa, St. Pete or Bradenton. We enjoyed visits to Fort De Soto, the De Soto monument and surrounding park and trails, and Bradenton's Coquina Beach. The townhome was clean and bright, and was beautifully set up with every convenience. The resort area had a lot to offer. We all came in one car, so my "kids" were without transportation. Not once did I hear, "I'm bored." When we older adults were enjoying some downtime, they were able to find things to do in the resort area without needing to drive anywhere. And....the weather was perfect! In summary, we had a lovely stay!"
