  • Comfortable stay

"We were a small golf group looking for a central place to stay as every day was booked solid with golf. There were pro's and con's with this property, first as known Spring Hill is not a vacation spot but the house was in a very central location within easy access to anything one could want. It was in one of the better areas of Spring Hill and a quiet neighborhood. The house had anything one could want as far as utensils, dishes, pots and pans, etc. lacking nothing. It also had plenty of linens comfortable beds, and ample seating. On the con side it appeared that the front door was recently broken into and I had to make a temporary fix to even close it with the door knob, a bit of an uneasy feeling upon arrival. The house is alarmed and the front door had a deadbolt to secure it. The other con was the pool, the water was not clear and you could not see the bottom which made everyone feel uneasy about using it. The pump ran continually and something was not right with the whole set up. We were not needing to use the pool as it was a bit chilly during our stay but it would need to be corrected to use without fear of funny water. Overall the stay was fine and with a small bit of attention it would be fine for anyone wanting that central home base for a visit to Florida."

  • Returning for Longer Next Year

"We have come to Weeki Wachee and Crystal River area five times since 2008 and stayed in 4 different houses. Our first house was a great place and we wanted to keep renting it but but those darn Canadians keep renting it for 3 months! It is so popular we have not been able to get a date for four years. So, we rented Meg's house this year. I am tempted to say nothing but bad stuff so we won't have a problem renting in the future,....but I won't. This is a great place! We just loved it and there plenty of room for two families. Large rooms and bathrooms, a huge game room and very nice kitchen breakfast/dining area, large den/TV area as well. We brought our own boat and launched it at the private launch on the property and kept it moored on the floating dock...a big plus! Although we didn't use them, there was a least six kayaks of various sizes on hand. Another great item was a large outdoor BBQ Pit, huge deck and stationary dock to hang out around. The view from the 2nd floor and the large screened porch is wonderful. Our Scottish Terrier lived on the porch daily during our stay watching the squirrels in the Palms and the boaters on the canal. The pool area is large and another wonder area to relax. We also saw plenty of Manatee's in front of the house. In fact, a family of three was at the dock when we arrived. We headed to the Hospital Hole twice a day to see the Manatee's (usually about 20) and also saw Otters, Herons, Wild Boar and a host of other wild life. I could go on, but I'll just say we rented for one week this year, coming back for two weeks in 2017! Can't wait."

  • Great

"Amber and Jon are great! They are so helpful, and patient! The cabin is so cute, and has everything you need. Kayaking the Weeki Wachee was the best, crystal clear cool water."

  • weeki wachee

"Owner is great to work with. Weeki Wachee is always a blast. House is dated but it has river access and enough room to accommodate. Grill worked and there is a large concrete area beneath the home but Bring your own chairs. Owner made the whole experience easy and quick."
