  • Great Place, Clean, Comfy & great Location

"Stayed here with my girlfriend and her 80 year old mother who was visiting the U.S. from Hungary. We found this house to be just right for what we wanted. Being so close to Rogers Park is a definite plus, and the kayaks and dock provided us all the entertainment we needed. The Weeki Wachee river is one of the most beautiful streams I've ever seen and being able to paddle up, float down on such gin clear water is a true pleasure. However, it does make ones' floating life easier when the tide tables are figured out, ie.. go up stream during high tide, float down during low.. We had an enjoyable stay, did spend some time looking for a seafood store which we never found, but other than that, I give this property a double Thumbs Up!"

  • Comfortable, quiet, relaxing

"We stayed there for a week in early March. Pine Island has about 60 homes and a wonderful small beach park about 100 yards from the house on the gulf. If you're looking for a relaxing, quiet, out of the way vacation this is it. It's about a 7 mile drive to shopping, most restaurants, pharmacy etc. There is a small fast food shack at the park and the Bayport Inn is about a 3 mile drive. Both were very good with especially large portions served at the Bayport. BeckyJack food shack is another mile or so from the house. We didn't try it, but based on the crowds as we drove by, it appears very popular, if a bit unusual. The house and furnishings were nice .... very much as advertised. The house was clean. Met the housekeeper on day one. Nice, helpful young lady. The beds were very comfortable. Towels and linens were in good condition. The TV and WIFI operated well. All appliances and HVAC were in working order. Plenty of hot water. Nice view of the gulf from the MB balcony. Three bikes were available but not used because of the lack of bike lanes to/from the Island. The island itself is too small for biking and there's more traffic than you'd expect because of the beach park. Five very nice kayaks were also available but we choose instead to rent one at the Kayak shack for a great trip on the Weeki Watchi river where we paddled along next to a couple large manatees. If we had a way to transport the bikes and kayaks they would have been Very useful."

  • Beautiful place to stay

"Our family of five enjoyed staying in Sonia and Gary's beautiful Pine Island home. The home was clean and ready for our arrival. The pool table was a hit! The Gulf and island views from the master bedroom are stunning. It's only a short walk to the private beach access on the next street or to the park down the road, which is where we usually went. The neighbor was very friendly and even brought in our trash can one day when we were away. My family really enjoys the dolphins that regularly come to the island. One day they swam so close to my husband that he could have reached out and touched them. I would definitely recommend this property."
