  • Michigan sisters and spouses

"The four of us rented this beautiful home the winters of 2015 and 2016. The home was spacious, comfortable, fully-equipped with four TVs, books, jigsaw puzzles, bicycles, a golf cart, beach chairs, and a most pleasant kitchen stocked with everything we needed. The Wellington Community was convenient to The Y, restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, and golf courses, and far away from the maddening tourist traffic. The neighborhood was very quiet and the neighbors were friendly. The clubhouse had many daytime and nighttime activities, a large outdoor pool, and a terrific restaurant. The owners, Bill & Candi, are the most wonderful people. They are outgoing and friendly, love to laugh, and they were most accommodating in every respect. The relationship we had was more family-like than a rental arrangement. If there were anything we needed, it only took a phone call or email to satisfy the need. If our future snowbird plans include west-central Florida again, we'll want to stay at Bill & Candi's place again. God bless them."

  • Comfortable stay

"We were a small golf group looking for a central place to stay as every day was booked solid with golf. There were pro's and con's with this property, first as known Spring Hill is not a vacation spot but the house was in a very central location within easy access to anything one could want. It was in one of the better areas of Spring Hill and a quiet neighborhood. The house had anything one could want as far as utensils, dishes, pots and pans, etc. lacking nothing. It also had plenty of linens comfortable beds, and ample seating. On the con side it appeared that the front door was recently broken into and I had to make a temporary fix to even close it with the door knob, a bit of an uneasy feeling upon arrival. The house is alarmed and the front door had a deadbolt to secure it. The other con was the pool, the water was not clear and you could not see the bottom which made everyone feel uneasy about using it. The pump ran continually and something was not right with the whole set up. We were not needing to use the pool as it was a bit chilly during our stay but it would need to be corrected to use without fear of funny water. Overall the stay was fine and with a small bit of attention it would be fine for anyone wanting that central home base for a visit to Florida."

  • relaxation in beautiful surroundings

"We loved Lake Jovita with its big live oaks and hills, and found it more relaxing than the larger more populated tourist areas in Florida. The villa is beautiful, quiet, clean, and well decorated, and we enjoyed perfect low 80's nearly every day. We dined in our own private very large lanai overlooking a lake and golf course. Though we did not get a membership, we were still able to take part in some of Lake Jovita's activities and found everyone to be very friendly and helpful. We walked every day and marveled at the landscaping, wild life, and elegant homes. We did many day trips, as it is conveniently located to a lot of attractions. The owner, Julia, responded quickly if we had questions, and we would go back in the future. Great experience."

  • Another great stay!

"This was our second year in a row my wife and I stayed at this peaceful cottage. As we drove thru the gate, it felt like we were coming home again. Darlene, Aaron & family really make you feel welcome. If you want to experience Old Florida, Floral City is it. Public boat launch is only 2 miles up the road if you want to fish or canoe. It is centrally located so there are lots of attractions within 1-3 hours. Also the Withlacoochee Bike Trail is in Floral City. We love it here and will definitely be coming back."
