  • Fabulous place situated perfectly between the beaches

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer's place at the Avalon. The condo was beautiful inside and out and is nestled perfectly among shopping and dining with beaches in either direction. The condo was clean and spacious, well stocked and it felt like home. Jennifer was in touch during our stay and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was going well, she also recommended several local activities/attractions at our request. I had every intention of visiting the fitness lab, but never quite made it...lol, however I did take a look at it and it is very well furnished. The pool area is gorgeous and the water even felt heated in the evenings, this may have just been from the beautiful Florida sunshine, but it made the water enjoyable with the evening breeze. My family of three are all in agreement that this was our best vacation in a long time and we will definitely be staying with Jennifer again in the future! Thank you for everything!!!"

  • Perfect Getaway Spot!

"Two of us shared this condo and had a wonderful time! Indian Rocks Beach is more residential so you do not have the crowds of St. Pete or Clearwater Beach. Sunset Paradise is very well maintained as well as the condo. Everything was clean and the condo had everything you need to enjoy your time at the beach! My only complaint is that I couldn't have stayed longer! I will definitely rent this place again!"

  • pleasant place to stay

"Pieces of Eight was just what I was looking-for - an economical place to stay with the basic needs for home-style living. The motels in the under $100.00/day category are mostly dumps and you only get a bed(s) and a bathroom. I have visited this area many times over the years and places like this along the beach are pushing their prices too high. Our accommodations were small, but clean and we had everything we needed there,: a bed for two in a bedroom and a pull-out couch in the living/dining area. The fridge and stove worked and we had all the dishes, pots and pans we could use as well as small appliances. The TV was small but where you sit is so close it doesn't matter :-) and there was a working PVR there so that I could record any shows I wanted to watch later. The two air conditioners worked well and were more than enough to cool-off this space....plus there were three ceiling fans to help move the air. Water pressure was good. I liked the courtyard and the shade that the trees provided. There was a BBQ available in the second courtyard, along with a table and chairs....unfortunately it was so hot the week we were there that I couldn't bear to use them! The only thing that I suggest is that Steve have some ventilation installed in the bathroom, to pull-out all that moisture from people having a shower. That will help the a/c unit in the bedroom do its job without working 'over-time'. Owner Steve was around every day working around the place and always available for help or just a talk. If something like a light bulb needs replacing when Steve is not around and you don't mind doing it yourself, just go to the laundry room and get one; there are supplies in there. It was handy having the beach right across the street. There are few good restaurants within a reasonable walking distance or a less-than-five-minute drive, and two really good places for ice cream. So, if you don't require all-new hotel-style furniture and amenities or a large living space, Pieces of Eight is a good place to stay at a reasonable price."

  • Amazing, relaxing vacation in pristine hotel and condo

"We had another fantastic vacation at the Sandpearl. The hotel is impressive and the amenities are plenty. Our children loved the pool, nightly movies, and easy access to the beach. We loved the poolside service and convenience of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The condo is in great condition. You get the best of both worlds-- condo prices and kitchen area with hotel amenities and service. The condo was very clean and felt "new". You have a great view of the ocean and bay. My only "complaint" is that it looks into a restaurant parking/dumpster area and was very loud one night. I knew this going in as we have stayed in another room on this side of the hotel before and it is NOT enough to sway me from staying here again. Treat yourself to the Sandpearl. It is an upscale and swanky hotel. The Alfriend condo makes it affordable to enjoy a true vacation in a premium resort."
