  • Beach bungalow with great amenities

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beach bungalow. The property offers great space indoors and out. The back patio area with the gas grill is a great place to spend the evening after the sun has set enjoying the lighting and ambiance of your own private space by the sea. The kitchen is very well equipped which we enjoyed given the opportunity to visit Shaner's Land and Sea (just a few blocks away) for delectable seafood options to prepare at the bungalow. We would definitely recommend taking a short drive to Tierre Verde for some wonderful and very filling Italian food at Tony & Nello's. Watching the sunset from the balcony at The Brass Monkey a short walk away is also something we would recommend. There are plenty of things to do in the area with bikes, paddleboards etc all available right across the street. The bungalow also provided plenty of beach accessories (chairs, coolers, etc). We couldn't have asked for a better equipped and comfortable place to spend the week. We have stayed several places in the area over the last few years. This is definitely one we would revisit and recommend to friends. Do yourself a favor and book your getaway here."

  • April 2016 Stay

"This was our second visit with Sun Host Resorts. Our stay at 201 Crimson was everything we were looking for. We packed alot into 7 days. Jet Skiing, Beach, paddleboarding, dolphin tour, shopping etc. My best experience was simply sitting on the balcony. Very relaxing and picture perfect sunsets. Thanks again."

  • Villa Madeira Condo #303

"The condo was amazing and provided a great experience for my family and I during our stay. The condo was right on the beach, the balcony giving a beautiful view. The beach is outside the condo and stepping outside you will set foot on the white sand (extremely soft!). There are multiple other apartments and hotels that say they are on the beach but many are not directly on the beach and are 'walking distance' from the beach, but this is right on the beach which is extremely convenient. The beach is extremely private (though there is public access, it is not crowded whatsoever) and a nice change from the extremely crowded Clearwater Beach that is a popular tourist attraction. There is a heated pool right next to the building overseeing the beach and is really nice. We visited in the winter (December) and it was extremely warm outside- high 70's low 80's and very sunny. The water in the sea was not too cold and it took only a few minutes to get used to it. The only thing to remember is that to get into the pool or the beach, there are locked gates and you need to carry the keys (that you will be given) around or you will have to wait for someone to let you in. We explored multiple other beaches but found that except for the beach on Egmont Key Island (which is found by taking a ferry from the Fort de Soto park, the ferry costing $70 + $5 to get into the park for the four of us) did not match to the one in our very own "backyard". Clearwater beach is an extremely popular beach but did not offer anything extra and parking was very difficult to find and not worth the beach which was crammed and the actual Fort de Soto Park (not the aforementioned island) was just as nice but don't forget to bring your own chairs and umbrellas as it is $20 to rent them for the day. The owners have provided a beach umbrella and multiple chairs and beach toys but the rules are set extremely clear to not lose them (or an outrageous fee will be charged to your card) and to make sure to wash off the sand. The fee is also applied to every single towel and accessories that will be provided and there are multiple warnings that remind you of this. This is understandable as the condo was very well kept and included everything that you could think of (the only exceptions we found that they did not provide were garbage bags, detergent and soap/conditioner). The three bedrooms are very nice and the master bedroom has a gorgeous view of the water from the balcony which is also able to be acce"

  • Beach Cottage 2106

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was very spacious but VERY outdated. I called immediately after check in to let them know that the lock on the front door was broken. it was never fixed in the entire week we were there. There was a broken cabinet in the bathroom and the tub was very hard to get in and out of. There was a light above the tub (seems dangerous). there were broken floor tiles in the hall and kitchen. The air conditioner never fully worker cooling more than them master bedroom. Overall the condo needs a complete makeover to bring it up to a modern look. The bedding is very old and outdated looking. I did like being at ground level."
