A Quaint House Among the Giant Oaks
"I needed a place to stay for over 6 months, and it was more difficult than I expected to find a place until I found TJ's home. He was extremely welcoming and accommodating to me and my 4-legged baby, my German Shepherd, Tina.
The house was the perfect size. If you're looking for a place to lay your head while you go out and explore all the greater Tampa area has to offer, this place is perfect for you. Use the location as a "base camp" and enjoy the wonderful beaches. A pet friendly beach I frequented was Ft. DeSoto Beach.
The neighborhood of Old Seminole Heights is timeless. The neighborhood itself is full of friendly neighbors, beautiful oak trees, the Hillsborough River, and a true sense of relaxation.
I used the house as my home for six months, and because it was only me, I didn't have to fight with anyone for the one bathroom. However, that doesn't mean it won't work for you and your party of 4 (or more)!
Tina enjoyed the newly installed doggy-door so she could go outside to sunbathe in the fenced backyard or chase off unsuspecting squirrels.
The majority of my time I cooked on the wonderful gas stove. The house is also perfect for entertaining.
I thoroughly enjoyed the local watering holes: Ella's and The Rooster and the Till were my favorite.
I am truly grateful I rented from TJ. Whenever I had a minor issue, he was very responsive and would fix whatever needed to be fixed. The small garage was a great place to store my motorcycle, and he was willing to put a lock on it. I highly recommend this quaint bungalow in historic Tampa for your visit to the area!"
