  • Beautiful cottage on the water

"Bayview Villa is a spectacular property, right on the water. The cottage is very well kept and has everything needed for a great vacation. Spectacular sunsets and gorgeous views make this one of the prettiest vacation spots we've visited."

  • Hidden Cottage is a hidden jewel.

"We loved this place. Location, location, location. Hidden Cottage is a studio apartment with tall ceilings, and an all white interior. Lots of window light (all windows have shades) with privacy out every window. Grass or gravel all the way around the house, privacy fences between the neighboring homes on both sides. Trees between the road and the house. Parking is next to the house, no stairs, no lugging your stuff through a parking lot. The only thing between you and the bay is the main house. The bay is just steps away with its own sandy beach. Great for launching a kayak or PWC. The water is clear and calm. The owner, Kathleen, is incredibly nice and accommodating. The other tenant in the main house is nice and rarely home. The sunsets are beautiful. There is a tiki hut out on the jetty. You can just hear the live music from a local restaurant as you watch the sun go down every evening. There is an automatic gate at the driveway. Kitchen had everything we needed, bed was comfy, plenty of storage space for clothes and stuff. Bathroom was like new, with an additional outdoor shower. Seating at the island plus a dining table. The office desk was a bonus. Two couches (one was a hid-a-bed we didn't try). Considerations: The Keys are narrow and it is hard to get away from road noise at night when everything else is quiet, my husband brings ear plugs and I sleep like a log. The bathroom walls don't go all the way to the ceiling, lets say the ceiling is 12 ft and the bathroom walls are 10 ft. , just an adjustment from home. We enjoyed our 6-week stay at Hidden Cottage!"

  • Perfect for our needs

"We were four mature guys on a scuba dive trip to Islamorada. The folks at Key Dives lovingly called us "the geriatrics." We were looking for a comfortable place to stay, and I was point man on finding the accommodation. The condo was perfect for us and the owners couldn't have been more helpful or professional. This condo was a short walk to Bud and Mary's Marina and Key Dives (the best dive shop in Islamorada IMHO). We had a great view of the ocean from our balcony, a very serviceable kitchen where we prepared almost all of our meals. We walked home for lunch between morning and afternoon diving. There is nothing particularly glamorous or luxurious about the condo. If you are nostalgic for CRT televisions, there is one in each bedroom, but then there is a wonderful flatscreen in the living/greatroom. We were out all day, and most nights we were too tired to watch TVL anyway. The place is clean, tidy, comfortable, and a great value. We enjoyed the pool almost every afternoon when we returned from diving. If you are looking for a glitzy, pampering resort, this is not your place. The condo complex is nice and well maintained. On several trips back to shore on the dive boat, I saw the condo building on the shoreline and thought, "If I wanted a condo in Islamorada, this would be on my short list." My needs are simple and this condo unit ticked all the boxes. Any future trip to Islamorada will include this apartment. If it is not available, we will alter our plans for a time when it is. Nuf said???"

  • Peaceful, Relaxing, but accessible. A little piece of heaven by the water.

"Arrived late in the night & had an immediate issue with unlocking the door, reluctantly phoned Chris, but even with the hour he could not have been more helpful, assuring us that it was just stiff & we were unlikely to snap the key off in the lock... & we were in. Which is all you can ask for, that any issues you may have are dealt with promptly, which they were. Lovely clean, airy & well presented home, we could not have wished for more, Kitchen was well equipped, lots of books & games, & a lovely place to sit out both day & night (mosquito's were generally only a slight problem, nothing 'Off' wouldnt cure) & the downstairs ... well if you have a teenager after that bit more independence, its perfect for them, its all but self contained & they always appear at mealtimes. Robbies is walkable (about a mile), but you really need a vehicle to access other areas. 5 mins to Islamorada, 25 to Key Largo or Marathon. The Islamorada direction see's you passing frequent places to eat, a couple of tackle shops & a small store or two, closest Larger store is a Winn Dixie at Tavineer (15Mins), but they were advertising the building of a new Publix which would be closer. So our view on the location was very peaceful, with everything very accessible by either road or water, what more could someone want.. We had a boat for the duration & at 22ft was docked without problem, although the channel coming into the boat dyke was very shallow & rocky at the point of entrance from the Atlantic, so some care was needed. Very accessible to both the Atlantic Reefs & Wrecks for great fishing & diving. Also just up from Channel 2 & 5 (about 4miles) which are well known fishing marks, & from there easy access into the flats/Everglades (about 30miles to flamingo) & the Gulf of Mexico, which are all great fishing. Did we like it, YES we loved it. Would we stay there again when we go back to the keys, YES most definitely. Only two small things that I could think of that could make it even better... Include a couple of Kayaks with the property, with it being on the water, they would get so much use. (they can be rented from Robbies, but so much better if they were just their). Kettle for the Kitchen (I know the Brits are mad but we do like our hot Tea or Coffee in the morning), saves boiling it in a saucepan. Thanks Chris for allowing us to Share your wonderful home."
