  • Peaceful, Relaxing, but accessible. A little piece of heaven by the water.

"Arrived late in the night & had an immediate issue with unlocking the door, reluctantly phoned Chris, but even with the hour he could not have been more helpful, assuring us that it was just stiff & we were unlikely to snap the key off in the lock... & we were in. Which is all you can ask for, that any issues you may have are dealt with promptly, which they were. Lovely clean, airy & well presented home, we could not have wished for more, Kitchen was well equipped, lots of books & games, & a lovely place to sit out both day & night (mosquito's were generally only a slight problem, nothing 'Off' wouldnt cure) & the downstairs ... well if you have a teenager after that bit more independence, its perfect for them, its all but self contained & they always appear at mealtimes. Robbies is walkable (about a mile), but you really need a vehicle to access other areas. 5 mins to Islamorada, 25 to Key Largo or Marathon. The Islamorada direction see's you passing frequent places to eat, a couple of tackle shops & a small store or two, closest Larger store is a Winn Dixie at Tavineer (15Mins), but they were advertising the building of a new Publix which would be closer. So our view on the location was very peaceful, with everything very accessible by either road or water, what more could someone want.. We had a boat for the duration & at 22ft was docked without problem, although the channel coming into the boat dyke was very shallow & rocky at the point of entrance from the Atlantic, so some care was needed. Very accessible to both the Atlantic Reefs & Wrecks for great fishing & diving. Also just up from Channel 2 & 5 (about 4miles) which are well known fishing marks, & from there easy access into the flats/Everglades (about 30miles to flamingo) & the Gulf of Mexico, which are all great fishing. Did we like it, YES we loved it. Would we stay there again when we go back to the keys, YES most definitely. Only two small things that I could think of that could make it even better... Include a couple of Kayaks with the property, with it being on the water, they would get so much use. (they can be rented from Robbies, but so much better if they were just their). Kettle for the Kitchen (I know the Brits are mad but we do like our hot Tea or Coffee in the morning), saves boiling it in a saucepan. Thanks Chris for allowing us to Share your wonderful home."

  • Nice Home in Quiet Neighborhood

"We rented this home in June 2016 for a dive trip in Islamorada. This is our third trip to the area, but the first two we stayed in condos. The house is nice, but not luxurious and it fit our needs quite well. The location on the canal is great and the private beach is convenient. Sandy was very easy to work with. We did have one maintenance issue while we were there and it was taken care of immediately (much faster than needed, really). The outside space is plentiful, with lots of deck and shaded area to relax, plus a large screened deck upstairs. The neighborhood is very nice and safe and so is the neighbor. We were surprised to find that the upstairs and the downstairs are not connected inside the home, but only via the outside stairs. This was not really an issue for us, but we just did not realize it when we booked the house. Overall, we were very happy with the house and would rent it again."

  • Perfect Keys Retreat

"Paradise Found is a wonderful house, great location, and excellent response from the owner. Enjoyed pool, nearby proximity to Ann's Beach, rented boat from Seabird Marina and kept it in front of house, so much wildlife. Also loved the porch, house well-equipped. Comfortable for 3 couples. Would definitely stay here again."

  • A True Home Away from Home

"This place truly exceeded every expectation I had. I did not want to leave! I was able to reunite with a childhood/lifelong friend at this property and catch up in what may be the most peaceful vacation setting I have ever been in. His fifteen year old son had his first true offshore fishing experience when we traveled out to the world-renowned fishing grounds ("The Islamorada Humps), approximately 15 miles straight out of the back yard beach, where we caught several mahi mahi/dolphin/dorado, a couple in the 30lb. range. Needless to say, the 15 y/o boy's face lit up like a flame when we hooked into those fish and he brought them aboard the boat. Those memories will undoubtedly stay with him for life. Then, back at the house, where the ladies were blissfully relaxing in the beautiful pool, we were able to feast on the fish for days; utilizing the gas grill and the fully stocked kitchen ... we would have made any chef proud. We utilized the fire pit at nights which only added to the already relaxed, tranquil, "florida keys" atmosphere. In short, the comfort and tranquility of this home cannot be overstated. Not once, during my stay, did I find myself saying "I wish I had this (or that, or anything for that matter)." Just see for yourself ... go there and you will want for nothing (other than to stay there forever). I would challenge anyone to go spend some time there and argue otherwise. I don't believe anyone on earth would argue that this place is anything but sheer class!"
