  • FANTASTIC VACATION!!!

"My family and I stayed in this beautiful home and had a fantastic vacation. Under the Tiki hut was our favorite place to be whether we were enjoying watching the manatees in the water or just relaxing on the hammock. The Jacuzzi was awesome along with the enclosed outdoor shower area...I don't think I showered inside but maybe a few times. We rented the boat, which is a must, going to the island beach area and pulling up to the bars and restaurants. My overall experience was more than wonderful and cant wait to come back again. Two thumbs up!"

  • Beautiful home for a long stay

"Beautiful home! Very clean and tidy. Very comfortable and had anything you need. It is very close to publix, kmart, farmers market, cvs, walgreens and more. I have stayed at 3 different places and this ranks highest. Awesome views!"

  • Heaven on earth - My happy place

"The serenity and peace is palpable and breathable. From the views of the marina, to walk to the gazebo on the jette , to the earth tones used to decorate the Villa while keeping it functional and welcoming Ivy has a wonderful place. Golf cart for use to get around the compound and outstanding location for activities at John Pennekamp, to fresh seafood at every turn this is truly a treasure. Ivy is but a phone call away to answer any question or help with plans. Would come back in a heartbeat and HIGHLY recommend this place, recharges your soul!"

  • Great outside space, hot indoor space.

"My family vacationed here for a week prior to dropping my son, husband and friend at Boy Scout Sea Base High Adventure. We were with 4 teenage boys (and two grandparents) looking for something with amenities that would keep these active scouts busy. We were drawn to the kayaks and waterfront location with close proximity to good snorkeling. The outside of the house totally delivers. It is exactly as the pictures show. The tiki equipped with hammock and hammock chairs was terrific but we spent most of the time on the beach, enjoying the sea breeze and fishing from the bulkhead. There is no pier or dock but if you do not have a boat, there is plenty of room to fish. You will need a FL license if you are over 16. Check with your local bait shop for regulations and bait recommendations (we loved Brenda across the street at Capt Pete's who is a wealth of knowledge!) A few things to note about the property: I would not consider this a 3 bedroom. Yes it does have the beds that it states however the lower level is one large open room that has 2 beds in what is largely a family room with large sectional and television. It is more of a studio. We had planned on my parents staying here but it did not give them any privacy from the teenagers and there is no inside staircase that leads to the upstairs. One must go outside and use the front stairs or the spiral staircase out back. Not a problem when the weather was nice but there were several severe thunderstorms throughout the week which I understand is a regular occurance in the summer. Also, the air condition is not adjustable. It is set to 81 degrees (which was hot and not very comfortable for my mom who suffers from asthma) during the day and appears to come on full blast late in the evening, leaving everyone searching for blankets in the middle of the night and early morning. Lastly, do not expect anyone to sleep in the terraced area during the warm weather months. The owners ask that you keep the sliding doors closed during the day and open them after 8 pm. This room was unbearably hot and two of the boys were forced to sleep on loveseats and sofas in the cooler living room. There is no ice maker which is a bummer when frozen drinks are on the bar menu. It is vacation after all! If you plan on snorkeling in the sound, make sure you stop and pick up a dive flag at any local grocery store, Walgreens or dive shop."
