  • Fantastic Home On the Bay

"We were so happy we found this home last minute on VRBO. We had a large group and needed extra space and this home did not disappoint. The home has all the amenities you could need. Everything was newer and upgraded. Beautiful pool and views of the bay were most enjoyed by everyone. Very large and well appointed kitchen made cooking for a group a breeze. They had a very nice grill downstairs that was used to cook our fish of the day! There were plenty of bedrooms and sleeping accommodations for 10 people. The owners were very nice and responsive. One addition that would be nice would be more towels. We were very happy with everything and will be back again. Thank you."

  • Great Property!

"While the condo itself more than met our needs, the real selling point is its location. This is especially true if you are in Key Largo to dive. Of course being one block from Key Largo Fisheries and their Backyard Cafe, two blocks from the Pilot House and across the street from the Dolphin Rescue Center all contributes to the total experience. If one is willing to walk for fifteen minutes Snooks for sunset and the Key Largo Cafe for Italian are icing on the cake. We would have no problem recommending this property our friends and relatives."

  • Great outside space, hot indoor space.

"My family vacationed here for a week prior to dropping my son, husband and friend at Boy Scout Sea Base High Adventure. We were with 4 teenage boys (and two grandparents) looking for something with amenities that would keep these active scouts busy. We were drawn to the kayaks and waterfront location with close proximity to good snorkeling. The outside of the house totally delivers. It is exactly as the pictures show. The tiki equipped with hammock and hammock chairs was terrific but we spent most of the time on the beach, enjoying the sea breeze and fishing from the bulkhead. There is no pier or dock but if you do not have a boat, there is plenty of room to fish. You will need a FL license if you are over 16. Check with your local bait shop for regulations and bait recommendations (we loved Brenda across the street at Capt Pete's who is a wealth of knowledge!) A few things to note about the property: I would not consider this a 3 bedroom. Yes it does have the beds that it states however the lower level is one large open room that has 2 beds in what is largely a family room with large sectional and television. It is more of a studio. We had planned on my parents staying here but it did not give them any privacy from the teenagers and there is no inside staircase that leads to the upstairs. One must go outside and use the front stairs or the spiral staircase out back. Not a problem when the weather was nice but there were several severe thunderstorms throughout the week which I understand is a regular occurance in the summer. Also, the air condition is not adjustable. It is set to 81 degrees (which was hot and not very comfortable for my mom who suffers from asthma) during the day and appears to come on full blast late in the evening, leaving everyone searching for blankets in the middle of the night and early morning. Lastly, do not expect anyone to sleep in the terraced area during the warm weather months. The owners ask that you keep the sliding doors closed during the day and open them after 8 pm. This room was unbearably hot and two of the boys were forced to sleep on loveseats and sofas in the cooler living room. There is no ice maker which is a bummer when frozen drinks are on the bar menu. It is vacation after all! If you plan on snorkeling in the sound, make sure you stop and pick up a dive flag at any local grocery store, Walgreens or dive shop."

  • Beautiful Home in Key Largo

"Serenity by the Sea is a great choice for a stay in Key Largo. The home was fully stocked with swimming floats, life jackets, kayaks, basically anything you can think of for the water, and a jacuzzi! The dock is wonderful for fishing and docking a boat. The small private beach on the property is great for family fun in the sand and in the water. The shoreline does have some rocks, however, this is avoided the deeper you go in. There are numerous lawn chairs and a picnic table, which makes it easy for everyone to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view. The inside of the home is decorated following a beach cottage theme. It was very cute! The beds were comfortable and numerous. The kitchen in particular could use some renovations as the cabinets were hanging off the wall and didn't close very easily. Additionally, the fridge didn't get as cold as we expected it to be. Most of the things you would need in a kitchen are available to you, however, we were in need of more cutting boards throughout the trip and some of the cooking pans weren't of the best quality. My favorite part of the home was the large (floor to ceiling) windows flowing throughout the home. Every morning when we woke up there was a gorgeous view right there in the living room and kitchen. We could look right out to the sea while we ate breakfast in the kitchen. Overall, this home is a great choice for a large family that likes to have fun!"
