  • Excellent Vacation Spot

"Our Keys Home offers all the comforts of your home, but located in the wonderful Florida Keys. Great kitchen with everything you need and a combo LP/charcoal grill to keep most of the cooking outside. Nicely decorated, comfortable furniture, and great beds. The spacious yard is fenced and a dog door allows our two Golden Retrievers to come and go from the porch as they like. Squirrels and anoles entertain the dogs, while the next door Red-shouldered Hawks, mockingbirds, catbirds, cardinals, and kestrels entertain us. We brought hummingbird feeders two years ago and they are regulars, as well. Fun telling folks back in Minnesota we are feeding Hummers in Feb-March. Many nearby places to dine out Lazy Lobster, Shipwrecks, Sharkey's, and Skipper's are among our favorites as well as Hobo's three blocks away. All of these welcome our dogs in outside seating and even provide a water bowl. Most restaurants will cook your fish with a full dinner cost $9-15. John Pennecamp State Park is a must. Two small beaches ( the best at the end of the park road), walking trails, and glass bottom boat, snorkel, and dive tours are available. Also, canoe and kayak rentals are available. Trade winds Plaza is a 5 minute walk with Publix, Kmart, Beall's, public library, liquor store, and more. Dagney Johnson Botannical SP is a nice walk and a look at what almost happened to this area. Travel south on US1 to Bahia Honda, Long Key, Curry Hammock, Windley Key SPs. Along the way stop at the the bird sanctuary, Rainbarrel (the giant lobster)for a little shopping and a Maine lobster roll, the the turtle hospital, the Dolphin Research Center, the wonderful Sombrero Beach in Marathon, and the Key Deer at Big Pine Key. Way to much to do in a day or a week, which is why we have returned the past few years. Still have a lot to do, which is why we will return next winter. Finally Dave and April are great owners. You will not hear from them other than confirming your arrival and departure, however, they are quick to address any problems you encounter or questions that may arise. HIGHLY RECOMMEND John& Donna Nelson, Reggy and Samantha Good Thunder, Minnesota"

  • Amazing Key Largo Home!

"We truly enjoyed the home furnished for fun, relaxation, and family meals together. Bikes, kayaks, paddle boards were available for use. The kitchen was FULLY furnished and was conducive to group dynamics. We also enjoyed the Pennekamp State park located close by and with reasonably priced and safe activities to include snorkeling, scuba, and motor boating. Fresh fish was available for purchase at several locations. The dock allowed my older relatives to enjoy the water and fantastic sunsets. Thank you for the experience!"
