  • Best view in the Keys!

"This Bay Front home has the most beautiful setting of any property we have rented in the Keys in the last 30 years. A small stand of mangroves offshore makes for a lovely, quiet bay where 4 manatees - one of them a baby - played most of the month that we were there. Manatees move further north in warmer weather, so they may not always be there - we were lucky! We enjoyed watching the local iguanas and birds that visited as well. Due to the quiet water, kayaking was a favorite pastime, even for those who had never done it before. The house itself was a good fit for our group of friends and family who visited during the month. It was generally well-equipped and within easy access of stores, restaurants and activities. The comfortably heated pool was in use all but about 3 days when the weather was cool and windy. There were plenty of lounge chairs, an outdoor table and a fire pit on the beach near the water - all of which we enjoyed during our stay. Due to the position of the house, one could find sun or shade any time of the day and the mild bay breeze kept bugs at bay. The dining table had 6 chairs plus 2 folding chairs so that 8 people can actually eat together (one of my pet peeves is a house that sleeps 8 or 10 and only has dining chairs for 6!) One house quirk is that one has to go through another bedroom to access the bathroom in the basement from the other bedroom. This was not a big issue with our group but might have been had there been another mix of guests. The local house manager was readily accessible for any questions or small issues that arose. I would definitely stay here again on another trip to Key Largo."

  • Great house for a big group

"Our party of 9 had plenty of space. Lots of room to relax & tile throughout for easy cleanup. Beds were comfy, pool was great, huge kitchen (with everything you need), plenty of towels, nice big laundry, a spare fridge in the garage. We had 3 cars & no problem with parking plus house came with a golf cart. The layout was perfect - bedrooms are all on one side so nobody was disturbed by anyone staying up late. Great view from the dock. Ocean Reef is a beautiful resort. It has everything you need - restaurants, shops, grocery store, golf, pool/beach area, movie theater, library, etc. There is a dress code so make sure you look into that. Ocean Reef is a short drive to Key Largo and we spent a couple of days exploring the islands. We would definitely rent this house again."

  • Quiet and roomy spring break

"This three bedroom townhome provided the six of us, two teens and four adults, plenty of room. We loved the cross breeze and often turned off the air conditioning to get the sun and breeze flowing through the townhome. I had read the previous reviews and had purchased toilet paper and soap ahead of time, but when we arrived there were soap and toilet paper to last us a day. I loved having the washer and dryer in the unit, even though we spent most of the day in our swimsuits. Our favorite place to eat was The Pilot House, down the road, but call ahead if you want oysters for they sell out quickly. The girls visited Dolphin Plus and swam with the dolphins. The family did the snorkel trip at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park; the water is so blue when you get out into the ocean. We also did snorkel around the beach and jetty at the resort and saw a nurse shark, angelfish, butterfly fish, moray eel and many other animals. The beach is not a sandy beach, so bring or purchase water shoes. The family also loved looking for all the iguanas that were at the resort. A Walgreens is close by, so we ran there often for quick items we wanted. Everyone at the resort was friendly. We are looking to stay again next spring break because it was a fun and relaxing trip that kept all of the family members happy. Fernando is quick to respond to emails or texts and is very professional. Thank you, Fernando for making our first booked on VRBO a postivie experience."
