  • Wonderful Property and Jose was the Perfect Host

"We had a fantastic week at 'palm trees, sun & sea' the condo was very spacious and accommodated our family of 4 plus both of our mothers perfectly. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this rental. Jose made the rental process simple and easy. We've rented many times from VRBO and this may have been the easiest transaction to date. Thanks for a fantastic week!"

  • Wonderful place to stay

"The house and location fit my needs perfectly and the owner (Beth) is extremely helpful and nice. I would stay again and would recommend this to my friends. The house is clean, comfortable, and roomy with nice natural daytime lighting (not dark and dingy like some places). It has everything you need so it feels like home and saves you running out to get something all the time. There is ample parking and is the easiest place ever to park a boat since it’s a corner lot you can drive thru so no need to back in. The neighborhood is quiet and about as nice as you find in the Key Largo for a reasonable price since houses are spaced out a bit (many places in Keys are jammed in in tight with neighbors close by but this one has more room). For me, the location was perfect since there is a community park on Largo Sound with a boat ramp which we used almost every day. Its great if you have a boat or kayak (which you can rent at Florida Bay Outfitters like we did and they deliver to the house). Largo Sound is great for kayaking…better than the bay really since its less choppy and you can paddle out the protected channels to Garden Cove or Pennekamp. Plus, you can easily paddle over to Pennekamp State Park and save on the entrance fee. The community park is great for boating but otherwise the scenery is limited since much of the view is blocked by a mangrove point. We just boated or kayaked out 100’ many evenings to watch the sunset from the water. We had our own bikes since the Keys are great for biking. The house comes with bikes if need be but they are not ideal for serious long distance bikers (like we are). Key largo has nice bike paths on both sides of the road but the middle Keys are way more scenic so I suggest biking there if possible. If you like to snorkel, bike, kayak, boat, watch sunsets over the water, visit the Everglades, and/or tour the keys then this house and Key Largo are for you. Its not for those wanting to sit around the beach or pool. Beware Keys traffic can be slow so allow extra time to visit Bahai Honda State Park and Key West which are must see spots. Also go to Everglades Natl park which is close to Key Largo, especially on windy days when the Keys snorkeling and water sports are not the best."

  • Excellent Home away from Home. 5 Star

"I'm a brat who loves nice accommodations. This home was 5 star. The owner Ismael was so friendly and provided us with plenty of towels and even let us use his 2 person kayak which was one of highlights. Especially when the manatees would come by the kayak for a visit. I was excited to wake up each morning and sit on the second story screened in patio with my Chai Latte. This house is roomy with giant closet in master. Very neat and clean. Under the house is a large hang out area with plenty of room for family. The Hammock was great. It was so peaceful and relaxing. This is not a neighborhood for a wild crowd but perfect for a well behaved group who is into boating, snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing, fishing. If your used to beaches the Keys are not for you. Then you'd want miami or Ft. Lauderdale. The owner also provided bikes which we didn't use but was a nice option. We put on a massive amount of miles. Went to lots of Miami places Viscaya, Fairchild Gardens, Pinecrest Gardens, Jungle Island and Miami Beach. We did Flamingo gardens and FT. Lauderdale Beach. We did Key West. Our trip was supposed to be snorkeling but high winds changed everything to a new direction. Sundowner is a great place to eat and hang out or parasail. Wahoos has great Mahi tacos and gorgeous views. Key lime tree is a great place for a little shack that serves key lime pie and has a very fistula but fun cook whon gives a little attitude with your conch fritters and fish tacos."
