  • Awesome Location

"This was an awesome location for our dive vacation. The house is surrounded by lush vegetation that makes it feel like it's in the middle of a jungle. Very clean and well appointed. We were able to keep our boat just steps away from the house. The only thing that would make the stay perfect would be to be able to keep the boat in the water the whole time were were there (there's a 72 hour limit at the dock). The owner was very pleasant to deal with. We would stay here again."

  • Wonderful Snowbird Oasis

"We had an amazing time at the Islamorada house where we stayed from January 9 to March 20, 2017. We had other family members join us for brief periods of time and everyone really enjoyed their visits with us at this lovely oasis in the Keys. Carmen and her husband Pete were wonderful hosts. We loved relaxing on the screened in balcony and watching the boats and manatees go by. We made good use of the amenities including the pool, kayak, pool table, outdoor grill, TV’s and indoor living spaces. The house is very nicely decorated and the kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances and virtually everything you need for meal preparation for those days you decide to cook. We were traveling with our 2 dogs and they also really enjoyed sunning themselves in the outdoor spaces. Since we stayed for 70 nights we got to know the area fairly well. The house is in a great location for exploring and we took several day trips to Key West, The Everglades National Park, Fort Lauderdale and more. We visited the Theatre of the Sea in Islamorada as well as The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, both of which are well worth seeing. Founders Park is very close and has great amenities including a beach, large heated swimming pool and excellent dog park. There are an abundance of great restaurants within easy driving distance. Go early as they tend to fill up quickly in the evenings. Our personal favourites included Dillon’s Pub (Tavernier), Lazy Days (Islamorada), MEAT Eatery & tap Room (Islamorada), Snappers (Key Largo), SS Wreck & Galley Grill (Marathon) and The Buzzard’s Roost (Key Largo). We also really enjoyed delivery from the Jersey Boardwalk Pizza Restaurant (Islamorada). We had an awesome time. So much so that we have booked this house again for next year and will be staying a little longer. Thank You Carmen and Pete for making this such an enjoyable trip."

  • Spring Break

"We chose this condo based upon previous reviews. There are a lot of condos available in Ocean Pointe. If this one is available snatch it up! James was wonderful to work with. He and his wife have obviously spent time and effort in their condo. He gave many recommendations for restaurants and activities. The pool was lovely did not spend much time on the "beach". We had two couples in the bedrooms and two teenagers on the pullout couch. We didn't spend much time inside as the weather was perfect! We would definitely visit again!"

  • Had a lovely time at the Executive Bay Club!

"My husband and I stayed here with our three children for a week (15, 14 and 10) recently and had a very pleasant stay at this property. It was very clean and photos accurately represented the place. It is quite spacious inside. The bathrooms were nicely appointed with extra toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand cream, razors and even shampoo and body wash, in case we forgot something) and plenty of clean towels for the week. The kitchen was in good order and had some basic spices and paper products too, that were helpful. The peanuts that were stocked in a cute display bowl labeled "squirrel food" delighted our little fury friends who visited our patio each morning. We all got a kick out of feeding them. Don, the property manager, lives right next door and while there is no privacy between the small patios, we overlooked this. Don was helpful in providing restaurant suggestions and was accommodating when I asked to share his hose (to try and keep our patio table clean from the tree overhead that was continuously dropping it's leaves and residue while we were there). We did have some water leaking from the air conditioner upon arrival, but Don came over immediately to temporarily address the problem. I think the A/C needs a new filter and overall was fairly musty smelling upon arrival. My husband has asthma and is sensitive to these things but the kids also seemed to be affected a bit (sore throats). The pool area is large, well kept and had plenty of lounge chairs and round tables. The water was warm and beautiful! Although the complex has a private beach area, it's not much to rave about. We enjoyed Founder's Park, instead, which is right next door and had a much larger and nicer beach. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would agree with past reviewers that it may not be the most updated decor inside, but is spacious, clean and reasonably priced. Having a washer/dryer unit inside was a nice plus, especially after all the swimming and sand. I found the VRBO app (that I downloaded on my phone) very helpful by providing all sorts of details about our arrival/dining/things to do etc. Another plus was that we didn't have to do a thing on our departure day--just leave! It was very easy. Thumbs up on our experience here and thank you! We had a terrific week."
