  • Lovely home

"First the positive: We rented this home for about 6 weeks this winter. We had friends and family visit us and there was room for everyone in this very beautiful home. The beds are comfortable, the furnishings are high quality. The window treatments are designer quality and really nice. Great pool! The pool and home were very clean. We saw manatees and tarpon from the dock, and it is very easy access to the bay. The negatives I will list will not prevent us from renting the home in the future. First and foremost, I really enjoy lying in bed and watching TV, but there are no TV's in any of the bedrooms. If there had been a TV just in the master, we would have rented again, but after putting in my request, they chose not to install a TV, which is of course their prerogative. And there are plenty of other TV's throughout the house, and they are very nice. Some other things that bothered us... The master closet was filled with their personal belongings, so not really any room for our belongings. And being there 6 weeks, I needed a closet badly. Even though I felt like I was invading their privacy, I pushed their things aside to make room for our clothing, shoes, etc. I didn't know what else to do. The closet clearly stated "owner's closet". We have our own VRBO unit in Colorado, and make sure the closets in the bedrooms are empty for our guests. The kitchen was poorly stocked and I needed to go buy a casserole dish and frying pan. The dinnerware is very poor quality plastic that did not hold up to microwaving or the dishwasher. Glassware was very nice. The sheets in the master bedroom were very worn and pilled so I rummaged through another closet also marked owners closet to find a decent set. The comforter on the master bedroom wasn't too clean so the first day there I took it to a laundromat and washed it. The security is very tight at this home, which I suppose is a good thing, but there are flashing lights everywhere (which we covered up with a paper bag at night cuz they kept us up!). Each time the door opens an alarm beeps and it was slightly annoying. Very beefed up security! Also, I sure do enjoy hooks in the bathroom for pj's and bathrobes, towels n such, but only one towel bar in each bathroom, no hooks. We put a towel down in the master cuz the tub was a little slippery. All this being said, we enjoyed ourselves immensely and would love to return! The positives far outweigh the negatives. • Amazing

"We stayed at the house for a little over a month. We were down in the area for work and found this little gem. There were three adults sharing the house so there was more then enough room. Out of that whole time I think we cooked at the house a total of two nights. One guy did you use the outside grill more often though. This place was set up for turn key usage, from Tupperware to a Keurig, it was all there! There are four bathrooms in the house, each master bedroom upstairs having their own as well as the room downstairs. The final bathroom is in the hallway that is available to guests and the final two rooms that have a day bed in each. These two rooms and the hallway bathroom were never used once while we were there. Laundry room was up in the main house and in very good order. The neighborhood was quiet with most people that we saw waving hello. Personally, I enjoyed the back patio where I spent almost every night enjoying a beer and watching the boats rock back and forth along the canal. Not only would I recommend staying here again, but I plan on staying here again as I know my group will be back sometime in the Spring of 2017!"

  • Hidden Paradise !!!

"This place is amazing!!! From the moment we arrived the private aquarium started the excitement. We spotted Parrot fish, Lobsters, Stone crabs, Starfish, Horseshoe crabs, tons of Mullet and on our last evening a visit from a baby manatee to top it all off. This relaxing paradise comes with everything new grill, bikes, kayaks, life jackets, snorkel gear, fishing poles, all kitchen accessories. I even found a skill saw in the shed to cut up wood for the chimenea. On our relaxing vacation right across the street is pier 68 boat rentals. No guided tours for our first time we rented a boat and explored the keys first hand anchoring off and snorkeling where ever we wanted. Also pulling up to a local dock at safari lounge grabbing a bite to eat and then back off we go what an awesome adventure we had renting a boat. Great Memories! We reserved a sport fishing trip with Captain Rick & the Sea Horse charters located at blue whale harbor. My wife didn’t want to go and by the end of this trip she was so excited and glad she went. We caught Black fin tuna and Mahi-Mahi Dolphin. Captain Rick booked us a reservation at Lazy Days restaurant where they prepared our catch of the day with a very impressive platter right on the water’s edge. Thank you Captain Rick! Key West is only 1 hour away and it was the perfect distance to go and enjoy the day. We ate at Pinchers seafood restaurant walked the streets shopping and getting brain freezes at fat Tuesday. we visited the southernmost point and then we headed back to our quiet and relaxing Paradise. Bahia Honda state park is a very nice local beach. My buddy Mike & his wife Shawna have never snorkeled. This beach is the place to teach it’s clean with white sandy and very well taken care of. Very nice! Enjoying the area I would recommend these locations. Robbie’s feeding the live tarpon; Olive Maranda imported Olive Oils, Islamorada Beer company brewery & tasting room, Lazy Days restaurant, Shell world, pier 68 Rentals and Sea Horse Charters. Lasting impressions! The owner Jerry was nice and very easy going once we arrived he gave us the tour and pointed out some of the best things to do in the area. We all loved knowing that after our day of fun in the sun we had an awesome location to come back home to. Relaxing, enjoying and share our stories with our friendly Acquaintances also renting on property. Thank you very much Jerry for the memories we made. Jason, Lisa, Mike & Shawna"

  • Great place to stay!

"We enjoyed this condo very much. It is updated and spacious. The balcony overlooks the pool and waterfront. We also appreciated having a boat slip. The condo property is well kept and has a nice family atmosphere. The location is perfect with several very good restaurants within walking distance. We had a great time!"
