  • Perfect family getaway

"My family and a few significant others stayed here for a wedding weekend and into thanksgiving. There were 6 of us and this could not have been a better spot for us. The condo is conveniently located to both the water and downtown Duval street. We could walk everywhere and also rented bikes to explore more of the island. The property has a large back patio with a cute table, great for grilling! It also offers a large deck off one of the 2nd floor bedrooms. The bedrooms were good sized and the 2 full bathrooms definitely came in handy. The kitchen was fully functional and newly renovated, great for cooking up breakfast and lunch. My favorite part of the house was the large living room, we spend many nights in there having drinks and talking, it completed the entire house. We were so sad to leave and would definitely stay here again!!"

  • Awesome!

"We can't say enough about our vacation in Key West and our stay at the Bermuda House. It was truly amazing. The condo was absolutely beautiful, clean and in an great location. Through the rental process the owner was kind, friendly and extremely informative. We cannot wait to return to to the Bermuda House and to paradise!"

  • Great week at The Plantation in Truman Annex, Key West

"My three boys, ages 27, 23 and 23, enjoyed a great week with me in Key West. Key West Al could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The property was nicer than we anticipated, and we had high expectations given the other reviews we had read, which played a big part in us renting his place. The property was convenient to Duval Street, and we easily walked to the bars and restaurants. Even though we were close to the action, the property was private, and gated. Al offered suggestions and his own personal reviews, which were accurate and appropriate. The townhouse was well suited for the four of us, well decorated and convenient. The unit was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We are soccer fans, and enjoyed the living room and big screen TV. We prepared three of our evening meals there, using the gas grill in the backyard for cooking, and the kitchen was well equipped and practical. The fenced back yard was private and comfortable, and we ate some of our meals at the table on the outdoor patio. It was a great week!"

  • The best location!

"This is our 4th or 5th time staying at Shipyard condos and the 1st time at this unit. The location is perfect; a couple of blocks from the center of Duval and 1/4 mile from the best beach on the island,Fort Zach. You don't need a car when staying in Old Town and this spot is quiet but still close to everything. Don't want the sunset crowds of Mallory Square? Just grab one of the beach chairs and head out your back door over to what used to be part of the naval property and enjoy. We have stayed in a Shipyard unit that was strictly a rental income and they did not provide beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, guest book, etc. and staying in an owner occupied unit like Donna's is so much more convenient and personal. The unit is filled w/local artwork and personal, homey touches. If you don't want to eat out every nite, the kitchen is well stocked w/utensils,plates,etc. and there is a grill on the deck along w/spices in the cabinet, foil and ziploc bags. We bungeed our tandem bike rental like a pack mule and brought charcoal, cooler, lunch, chairs to the beach(along w/our travel hammock!) and settled in for a few hours of paradise. Hammock swinging in the shade, the beautiful green blue waters, and the smell of local yellowtail on the grill. The beach has chair rentals and a concession stand if you want to keep it simple. There is a large pool on site but w/the proximity to the beach, we rarely have used it but it's there to enjoy.Check out the guest book for suggestions in the area.We would highly recommend getting out on the water for a snorkel/dolphin watch/kayak excursion and also check out the Hemingway House, the Butterfly Conservatory, Mel Fisher museum, a walk thru KW cemetery and live music and happy hour at one of the bars. And Donna sent us a walking map and other info. Enjoy this little bit of paradise! Thanks! Alison and Mary"
