Loved this place
"My husband and I stayed with two other couples, including one that was getting married that week. I can't say enough good things about the property, the amenities or the location. It is beautifully decorated as well. My only complaint was that we had to leave! Having been to KW several time I have to say this was our best experience yet! Thank you Dean for having such a wonderful property!"

"Nice condo. Very spacious with plenty of drawer space, closet space, vanity space. Plenty of bath and beach towels available. Plenty of dishes and glasses. We went food shopping and ate breakfast there each morning rather than going out. The bed was comfortable and great view of the beach laying in bed. Condo faces the East so you do get the early sun. Did see a beautiful sunrise one morning. Big deck with plenty of seating. Only 2 of us but if had another couple (or kids) would still be plenty of room. We saw a beautiful full moon over the ocean from deck.
Pool area nice, not crowded so always able to get a chair. It was very hot when we went and able to get a spot in the shade. There is doorway right to the pool across from condo door (convenient).
The condo is dated but it didn't really bother me because had plenty of room and all of the amenities needed. One thing missing was no dish detergent (washing in sink). We had to buy that and left there for next people.
We could walk to Smathers beach and there are beach chairs in the closet to use.
We rented bikes from wecyclekw.com. There is a bike rack on the property and we did a lot of biking to get around. We had a car since drove from Miami but only used once. It is about a $15 cab ride for 2 people to the heart of Duval St.
We walked to Salute for dinner (on Higs Beach). Great food! We also went to Shanana key Irish bar about 3-4 blocks up Bertha. A local place and easy walk. Otherwise we biked. Other restaurants we went to:
El Siboney (cuban), Garbo's grill (late lunch after swimming at Fort Taylor Zachory park, Two Friend's patio (after Mallory Square sunet) - had great Key Lime Pie, Waterfront Brewery, Alonzzo's (great happy hour after Fury Snorkeling trip).
Met people at the pool and everyone seemed happy with all of their condos. Don't forget your key!! Need a key to get back into building everywhere. My husband forgot his when dropping off something in car and had no reception to call me and had to wait for someone to come by.
We would stay there again!"

"I looked at a lot of condos before finally deciding on this one. This was easily the best deal AND the best location of anything out there. Smathers Beach is right across the street and is beautiful with great snorkeling and a variety of water sports to enjoy. We went parasailing one day and rented a paddle board another. We did a lot of walking, too, and found several hidden gems, like the Key West Garden Club and some really cool trails and parks. This condo is about 2 miles from the Southernmost Point... we walked over several times during our stay. Make sure you get there early, if you want a picture, because the like gets backed up quickly. We were happy that the owners had left a list of recommended restaurants in the condo, too, and we were able to dine at a few of these. Our favorites for Cuban food were El Siboney (the BEST) and El Meson de Pepe. We also really enjoyed a place on next door Stock Island called the Hogfish Bar & Grill... I cannot say enough about how great this place is! Now let me talk about Bill, the condo owner... Bill was probably the easiest person I've ever dealt with. He was super nice, very responsive, and answered all of my questions. This guy is so awesome that when he found out that the pool was going to be closed for maintenance two days after we were scheduled to arrive, he emailed me and even offered to compensate us for the trouble! Of course, I took him up on this, but he didn't have to do this! The price for this condo was already so low that he could have easily found someone else to take out week. A lot of people worry about getting taken for a ride when renting a condo, but, I'm telling you, Bill will take care of you... don't worry about it. I've told several people about this condo... it's a great deal, especially for the location!"

"When we first visited Key West we stayed at Poinciana Place and absolutely loved it,but we wanted to try the Seashell and 6 months later reserved it. When we got there Trevor and Sydney were just finishing putting the final touches together for us and after a quick lunch walked us through. It was everything we envisioned.
The coziness of the cottage was matched only by its spaciousness. After a day at Fort Zach on the beach it was wonderful to come back and try the outdoor shower. The grill was perfect for brauts and later on the hottub was luxurious.. Especially with the different colored lights! When we felt like doing little it was very relaxing to just lounge in the living room with the shades open allowing the sun to come in or to sit on the porch swing and shoot the breeze with the local neighbors or hang out with their cat Mr. Gloria!
Before we left we bought our customary Thank You card along with a couple of bottles of wine for our gracious hosts. We have always enjoyed your hospitality and we cannot wait until we come back again. The Seashell is perfectly located for quick access to Duval, Simonton, or Truman or to any of the quaint neighborhoods behind Whitmarsh... Which we took advantage of and toured.
Thank You Carolyn for allowing us once again to share your home as if it were ours. We greatly appreciate it and you!"
