  • Fabulous Key West cottage!

"My husband and I rented this adorable cottage along with another couple for 4 nights in June for our first visit to Key West and also our first experience with VRBO. This wonderful cottage is exactly as pictured, and was perfectly clean and comfortable for us. We loved spending our mornings and evenings on the patio out back, and enjoyed using the community pool a few times as well. The kitchen had all that we needed- dishes, appliances, etc.- during our stay. The location of the cottage is absolutely perfect! The community is quiet and quaint, and just a short easy walk from Duval Street. We highly recommend renting bicycles from the rental shop just up Southard Street to easily get around the island. The owner was friendly and answered all questions promptly throughout the booking process. We plan to visit Key West in the future, and hope to stay here again!"

"We can't say enough about our vacation in Key West and our stay at the Bermuda House. It was truly amazing. The condo was absolutely beautiful, clean and in an great location. Through the rental process the owner was kind, friendly and extremely informative. We cannot wait to return to to the Bermuda House and to paradise!"

  • A perfect setting in a perfect location

"This was the absolute perfect location for a group of four friends to spend a week away. We would walk to any number of close restaurants for breakfast, wander the neighborhoods admiring the homes, then head back to the house for an afternoon swim and nap by the pool every day. Then we'd get ready and head out to the nightlife. Everything was a close walk, with nothing more than 15 minutes away. Every person we encountered was friendly, from Sullins on email at the start of our journey, to Joli, the housekeeper, and her friend at the very end of our stay. This is definitely a two bedroom home. The sofa bed is quite uncomfortable (but really, does a comfortable sofa bed exist?!), so one of the singles in our party slept on top of the sofa. The sofa minus the back cushions is almost the size of a single bed, so it worked perfectly. I highly recommend this home for a group of four or five. I hope to come back again!"

  • The best location!

"This is our 4th or 5th time staying at Shipyard condos and the 1st time at this unit. The location is perfect; a couple of blocks from the center of Duval and 1/4 mile from the best beach on the island,Fort Zach. You don't need a car when staying in Old Town and this spot is quiet but still close to everything. Don't want the sunset crowds of Mallory Square? Just grab one of the beach chairs and head out your back door over to what used to be part of the naval property and enjoy. We have stayed in a Shipyard unit that was strictly a rental income and they did not provide beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, guest book, etc. and staying in an owner occupied unit like Donna's is so much more convenient and personal. The unit is filled w/local artwork and personal, homey touches. If you don't want to eat out every nite, the kitchen is well stocked w/utensils,plates,etc. and there is a grill on the deck along w/spices in the cabinet, foil and ziploc bags. We bungeed our tandem bike rental like a pack mule and brought charcoal, cooler, lunch, chairs to the beach(along w/our travel hammock!) and settled in for a few hours of paradise. Hammock swinging in the shade, the beautiful green blue waters, and the smell of local yellowtail on the grill. The beach has chair rentals and a concession stand if you want to keep it simple. There is a large pool on site but w/the proximity to the beach, we rarely have used it but it's there to enjoy.Check out the guest book for suggestions in the area.We would highly recommend getting out on the water for a snorkel/dolphin watch/kayak excursion and also check out the Hemingway House, the Butterfly Conservatory, Mel Fisher museum, a walk thru KW cemetery and live music and happy hour at one of the bars. And Donna sent us a walking map and other info. Enjoy this little bit of paradise! Thanks! Alison and Mary"
