  • Perfect Family Vacation

"This was our second stay at the Catherine Street Property and with good reason. We have grown children and Key West is a great destination where anyone can find something to do whether it is spending a day at the beach, relaxing at the house pool, shopping, going to bars or eating very good food. The house large enough for 6 adults, perfect location, clean and well stocked with provisions if you fly in. Ron was very easy to work with during the reservation process and during the stay if we had any questions. We flew in and were able to walk just around the corner to Island Bikes to rent bicycles for the entire week which is how we navigated around the island. We never saw a need to use a taxi except to and from the airport. Recommend: Within walking Distance -Sandy's for Cuban sandwiches and the "best coffee in town" at the Laundromat also on White Street. You can go anywhere on the Island by bike - we have several favorites too many to list but don't miss Blue Heaven for breakfast and find a spot to watch the sunset, both Mallory Square and the State Park (less crowded) have great views. I would highly recommend this property to families with small or adult children. This is our "go to" spot for Key West vacations!"

  • The Perfect Family Vacation

"Wow, what a fantastic vacation in Key West. We already want to go back. The condo was extremely spacious, clean, well set up, well cooled, and just perfect. We rented bikes during our stay and didn't rent a car, so got our daily exercise as well as were able to get around Key West without any troubles and probably even saved a lot of time by not having to find a parking place for a car. The adjacent beach was great. We rented paddle boards there and had a great time with that. We ate dinner every night on the very spacious patio and watched a lightning storm or 2... Overall, the only thing that would have been nice is to have bikes provided at the condo. It wouldn't be a huge cost to provide 4-6 bikes for guests to use while staying. We so look forward to returning. Hopefully soon..."

  • Great. Perfect location and very comfortable.

"Would definitely stay here again. Only problem was washing machine wasn't working. Only a problem b/cs we couldn't wash sheets on leaving as requested. Notified agent and was not charged for this. Again we will definitely stay here on our next trip. DW"

  • Very nice time

"Check in was in another building in the neighborhood, but easy. When we arrived we checked the bed linens and found some dark spots on the bedspreads that were distasteful. The sheets also had some long hairs in them, and the white towels had some stains on them. We called the management office right away and they were incredibly swift in rectifying the situation, so we were happy about that. They even gave us two bikes for free to use during our stay because of it and we appreciated that immensely. The kitchen had a lot of little ants everywhere, so don't leave anything out on the counters. It's a Key West thing to be aware of. A top shelf in the bathroom was swarming with ants and it was pretty alarming. Apparently there was some ant bait placed up there and boy were they baited. It freaked me out. The grounds are gated which made me feel very safe and they had a lovely pool you could dip in which was lovely. This particular unit faces the street and the entrance to the courtyard so you don't have any privacy unless you pull the blinds closed, which darkens the whole apartment. It wasn't a huge deal, but it would have been nice to have some sunlight coming in. The people who take care of the complex live next door and are very nice. However, one of the rules of the complex is that you're not allowed to dry anything out on your porch area on the wicker chairs. They tell you to dry everything in your bathroom or use the dryer (which is on site, coin operated.) We thought this was silly and couldn't see that seriously being enforced because it's a beach location and people are going to have towels, suits, etc.. It was. That struck me as a little uptight. The location is perfectly suited to all the attractions in Old Town and ultimately I would stay here again. The management team told us that there were going to be some upgrades to the unit coming soon, which is exciting. The pros outweighed the negatives."
