  • Wonderful family vacation spot!

"We rented out both places and it was so wonderful! It was a place that made you feel at home with comfy beds, a washer and dryer, a kitchen with all things you needed, updated appliances, towels are provided including beach towels, she provides kayaks (double and single), fishing poles, a wonderful gated salt water pool and much more! There is a dock right in the backyard that is so fun to fish and sight see for things and it even has solar lights on the dock to see at night. Michelle is wonderful too if you need anything just give her a call and she will help you with anything. Thank you so much Michelle you made our family of 15 feel welcomed and enjoy our vacation!!! • Paradise Seeker

"i would wholeheartedly recommend this property, we found the house and property better than the description. The house was very clean as we arrived and the owners followed up right after our arrival to assure our satisfaction. The house is minutes from the ocean on a clear canal containing a wealth of sea life. We saw parrotfish snappers small sharks and a manatee. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Enjoy!"

  • Wonderful, relaxing vacation!

"We rented this wonderful home for the month of March and it was perfect. John, the owner checked in to make sure we were comfortable. The home is clean, updated, and attractive. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. (It even has a Cuisinart food processor-which I used to make a few things). The pool was an absolute treat to have, very clean, and great to do laps in. We watched the temp go from 76* to 86* by the end of the month. The neighborhood is quiet, very well kept and we enjoyed our daily bike rides through the many streets. We enjoyed watching the neighbor across the water do his laps in the canal and It was fun to kayak out to the bay and up and down the other canals. It was great to see the wildlife, especially the Key Deer who loved to munch on the vegetation in the wooded lot next door, and on the streets as we rode by on bikes. We visited Key West often as , it's an easy commute (approx 30-40 min) . Kiki"s Sandbar was a fun place to go for happy hour, and Square Grouper was our favorite restaurant. We got fresh fish and shrimp from Low Key Fisheries on Cudjoe Key to grill at the pool. There was plenty of space to spread out on the upper and lower decks and the pool chaise lounges were very comfortable. There almost always was a great breeze, so being outside was enjoyable and the "no see-ums" weren't bad at all. If we return to the Keys , we would definitely stay here again. This is in our top 5 VRBO vacations."

  • A Wonderful Place on Big Pine Key

"We've fallen in love with the Keys and have come down 4 times over the last 3 years to the lower keys (we've stayed in Cudjoe Key as well as other locations in Big Pine.) We booked our trip relatively late but feel really lucky that we got to stay at Reel Lucky. The owners went out of their way to make it a special trip for us (we shared with them that our daughter turned one while we were coming down and they provided some small gifts/toys for the children along with party favors.) The house was clean and very well equipped, had an amazing screened-in porch overlooking the canal which we ate all our meals. The channel at the back end of the property was really nice -- we rented a kayak and explored the area and were able to row to the key deer preserve and catch some deer enjoying the ocean water. There was an underwater light in the bottom of the channel which provided a good amount of entertainment (we fantasized catching some giant fish swimming there, but while we weren't able to catch the big boys, the mangrove snapper and grunts were biting on our frozen squid bait.) I'd recommend this location to friends or relatives because its really convenient -- a very short 10 minute car ride from Bahia Honda State Park (our favorite destination in the keys and our favorite beach in the world -- we went 8 days out of the 10 we were there); a short walk, bike ride or drive to the Winn Dixie for frequent grocery/beer shopping, and close to other restaurants we like (No Name Pub on Big Pine Key, The Wharf on Summerland Key.) It was a really nice trip for my wife, four year old son, and now one year old daughter!"
