  • Hemingway Days at the colony poolside

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I travel to KW often but this was my first experience with Rent KW Vacations. Check in was quick and easy with early check-in and easy check-out with being able to leave the keys at the cottage which I appreciate. The cottage had everything I wanted including a TV in the BR/LR and a CD player; comfortable king bed and AC in BR/LR. I rent a bike when I travel to KW and the cottage was convenient to all destinations; Island Grocery is a block away for stocking immediate needs and Faustos not far for speciality items. I had a great time and hope to stay with Rent KW again in the future."

  • Great Lower Keys Rental!

"My family of four, including 2 teenage boys, loved staying here at the end of March 2016. The house is beautiful and clean and had plenty of room for all of us to enjoy our own space. The location is perfect, a short 10-15 minute drive to Bahia Honda State Park to enjoy the beach or 30-40 minute drive to spend a fun day in Key West. The snorkeling tour from the Looe Key Reef Resort and Dive Center was spectacular and just down the street from the rental."

  • Ideal location, fabulous house!

"This was the perfect vacation home for our family. We loved the location on a deep water canal very close to open water. We were surprised to see how great the fishing was right from the back yard. There are lobsters right behind the house too! The pool and picnic pavilion were fabulous, much nicer than most houses in the Keys. The area for cleaning fish was so handy. We loved the huge dining porch overlooking the canal and pool, but very convenient to the kitchen. The house itself was very comfortable. Having quality mattresses on the beds is important to me, and the beds surpassed my expectations - very comfortable! The kitchen was convenient and very well equipped. Lee and Tracy were very accommodating and easy to work with. I almost hate to write this review because this home is a hidden gem, and I want to keep it to myself. :-)"

  • The best location!

"This is our 4th or 5th time staying at Shipyard condos and the 1st time at this unit. The location is perfect; a couple of blocks from the center of Duval and 1/4 mile from the best beach on the island,Fort Zach. You don't need a car when staying in Old Town and this spot is quiet but still close to everything. Don't want the sunset crowds of Mallory Square? Just grab one of the beach chairs and head out your back door over to what used to be part of the naval property and enjoy. We have stayed in a Shipyard unit that was strictly a rental income and they did not provide beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, guest book, etc. and staying in an owner occupied unit like Donna's is so much more convenient and personal. The unit is filled w/local artwork and personal, homey touches. If you don't want to eat out every nite, the kitchen is well stocked w/utensils,plates,etc. and there is a grill on the deck along w/spices in the cabinet, foil and ziploc bags. We bungeed our tandem bike rental like a pack mule and brought charcoal, cooler, lunch, chairs to the beach(along w/our travel hammock!) and settled in for a few hours of paradise. Hammock swinging in the shade, the beautiful green blue waters, and the smell of local yellowtail on the grill. The beach has chair rentals and a concession stand if you want to keep it simple. There is a large pool on site but w/the proximity to the beach, we rarely have used it but it's there to enjoy.Check out the guest book for suggestions in the area.We would highly recommend getting out on the water for a snorkel/dolphin watch/kayak excursion and also check out the Hemingway House, the Butterfly Conservatory, Mel Fisher museum, a walk thru KW cemetery and live music and happy hour at one of the bars. And Donna sent us a walking map and other info. Enjoy this little bit of paradise! Thanks! Alison and Mary"
