  • Exceptional!

"Rented this home from the Fosters based on the pictures and reviews posted on the VRBO site. Our experience there was better than we could have expected. We found the home to be just as pictured, clean, and neat. Everything you could need was there for your use. Information and access keys were readily available and instructions for use were provided. Freddie was there when we arrived and offered all kinds of advice and assistance to us regarding the home, the beaches, fishing advice, restaurants and the like. He even offered me bait he had in the freezer! If you can't relax and feel at ease in this home you have a problem. You could spend your time just in the back yard, catching fish off the dock, giving water to the manatees, feeding fish to the egrets, watching the iguanas and soaking up the sun. Inch beach is quiet and secluded and a wonderful place for the family, just a two minute walk across the street. Bike riding or walking around the island is safe with plenty of beautiful homes to see. the "open market" at the park was really nice with good food for sale and beautiful crafts. As an aside, the Fosters neighbors were very friendly and easy to talk to, readily offering advice on places to dine, and things to do. I would rate this home, the Fosters, and KCB a six star experience. It is not a question of if we would rent this property again, but rather when we can make the time to get back here and hopefully find the home available. Thank you Freddie and Cheryl for your home and the wonderful experience you were instrumental in our having!"

  • Great place to stay

"We have stayed at other Key Colony Beach properties before, but none as nice as this one. It was comfortable and clean with all new kitchen appliances. We love being on the canal, and even saw manatees during our stay, and beautiful sunsets, so much fun. The Cabana Club had limited space, but it's great that its included. In fact we loved it so much, we have already reserved our stay for March, 2017. The neighbors on both sides were pleasant and full of local information. Guy is great to work with. He's friendly and wants you to enjoy your stay."

  • Great rental for family and friends

"Just wanted to let you know that my family and I had a wonderful time staying at your rental. We were amazed that everything needed for a stay was available in the bedrooms, kitchen, etc. The living space was very large, clean, accommodating for a family and very bright. The dock was fantastic to see the sunrise each morning. We also want to thank you for the quick response concerning the pool. The ability to utilize the Cabana Beach Club added to the enjoyment since we used both the pool and the beach."

  • Plenty of Pros, a few Cons

"We just got home from our stay here and figured we would share our experience. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely return. There were plenty of Pros, and a few Cons to this rental. Pros- 1- The location was perfect. We never stayed in Key Colony Beach before and when we return we will definitely be staying there. There were a few great restaurants within walking distance, our favorite being Sparky's Landing which we went to 4 times. 2- Access to the Cabana Club was a huge bonus. It was great for the days you wanted to just lounge around and drink by (or in) the pool or go to the beach. The food and drinks there were all great and very reasonably priced. The beach there was also very well maintained and had very little if any sea grass. 3- THE BACK YARD!- The back yard was amazing and was perfect for fishing and sight seeing. We caught a ton of fish right off the dock like snapper, grunts, catfish, and a few others we couldn't identify. We were also visited daily by some manatee which the kids loved and saw sting rays, barracuda, and some Sargent Majors directly under the dock. We brought our kayak and paddle board and enjoyed nightly sunset paddles. 3-The property manager (Barry I believe) was extremely attentive to any issues we had and was over within minutes to help. 4-Garage storage space!- we couldn't find many other units that had this amenity and allowed us to store our bicycles and fishing equipment in. 5- Included a garage full of goodies to use including 3 kayaks, bicycles, tons of fishing equipment and tackle, life jackets etc. Everything was in much better shape than what we expected from a vacation rental. 6-The master bed was amazing. It was some sort of memory foam mattress and both my wife and I slept amazing while there. There was also an abundance of towels, linens etc, that were great. Cons- 1- The toilet in the master bath was kind of wobbly. We were afraid we were going to tip over when we first got there but got used to it by the end. 2-the kitchen faucet is extremely loose and not well fitted. We were afraid it was going to rip off whenever we washed dishes or our hands. A simple tightening of the nut under the sink should fix it. 3- the couches in the living room are extremely worn and could be replaced. That being said they were very comfortable and I actually fell asleep on one the first night which I haven't done in ages. The Pros definitely outweigh the cons for this unit and we will definitely ret"
