  • Tropical Therapy at it's finest!

"Our family just returned home from a week long vacation at Tropical Therapy and had the best time ever! We docked our boat right on the back dock, had easy access to both the Bay and Atlantic sides and loved the sun rise from the back deck. Allowing us to bring our dog was another great feature of this vacation. The home was very clean, comfortable and well furnished for all of our needs. We will definitely consider this home for next summers vacation stay."

  • Amazing location - Amazing hospitality! Great Value!

"My husband and I have stayed on Conch Key before but this was our first time at Sunset Villas. First let me say that it is aptly named -- There's probably no place in the keys more beautiful for viewing the sunset. The huge deck area, which is just outside your door, is perfectly situated for watching the sunset every evening, and the Wiatt's have provided many seating arrangements for you -- waterside, hammock, crow's nest, or simply looking out your door. So lovely. The tandem kayak is very stable and an enjoyable way to explore the area - we found a large lobster colony along the highway in the rocks below - they were so cute! And Katrina gave us plenty of info to keep us out of trouble on the water. The bikes were also fun, as you have a little store a couple of blocks away - just ride the bike over to pick up what you need. We also rode the bikes north across the pedestrian bridge toward Layton -- the crabs all along the Overseas Highway Trail were so fun to watch. We only ate out 2 times -- the day we arrived and the night before we left because we caught so many fish right off the dock at Sunset Villas that we were able to have fresh fish every day while we were there. On Wednesday, we went out fishing with Captain Dan and had an awesome time! He recommended that we eat at Habanos in Islamorada and it did not disappoint! (they'll also cook your catch for you). the rest of our time was spent snorkeling right around the sea wall at Sunset Villas and also at Bahia Honda State Park - well worth the $$ and the drive down to explore. The swimming area may seem a little crowded but it doesn't scare the fish away. You'll still have a great snorkeling experience there. just one last thing -- we stayed in the Captain's quarter (1 br) -- the apartment was spotless, with 2 entry doors which both have a table and chairs right out the door and water views on both sides. The bed was very comfortable, the laundry is available 5 steps out your door. The kitchen had most everything you'd need for preparing your meals there, including a steamer basket(!) and a big pot for cooking lobsters. There is no more beautiful and reasonably priced vacation rental in the Keys! Katrina and Bill provide many things you need to enjoy your outings without having to buy extra stuff while you're there, like coolers and water toys. They also have fishing poles -- just bring your reels."

  • Feels Just Like Home

"We visited Key Colony Beach for the first time and rented Carole's Cottage. We were extremely happy with the accommodations. Carole is an excellent communicator and responds to inquiries almost instantly whenever possible and provides a very helpful info packet to help you get familiar with the area. The house was very clean and fully stocked with towels and kitchen needs. We cooked in 3 nights and found everything we needed. The BR locations offer good privacy. The home has easy access to Rt. 1 with many stores if you need to go grocery shopping, as well as many good restaurants. There are also a few good restaurants in Key Colony Beach if you prefer to stay on the island. We went to Key Colony Inn one night, which was very good, & also went to Leigh Ann's Coffee House for breakfast. It was excellent, but a little pricey to go every day, but offers one of the best breakfasts & coffee you'll ever have. Our favorite part about the house was sitting out on the back deck for morning coffee or after-dinner relaxing. It is very beautiful & peaceful & although we were initially a little anxious about the Iguanas, we quickly realized that they had no interest in us & that they just like to lay on the dock wall and sun themselves & would walk away when we went down there. We actually had fun watching them and looked for them every morning. They are harmless if you leave them alone. We completely enjoyed the Cabana Club and went there most days when we weren't out doing other things, like our day trip to Key West. The staff and guests at the club were incredibly friendly and we truly felt welcome. Their food is very good - we ate lunch there several times and it was excellent and reasonably priced. Same for the frozen drinks! :) We loved Key Colony Beach. It is a small community with very friendly residents. We went to Sunset Park twice. It is a short walk from the house and it was beautiful. Locals and visitors gather there and they have a cute little ceremony where they pass out words to the local Marathon song and everyone sings along (if you want - no pressure). Visiting KCB was somewhat like going back in time to simpler days and friendly, trusting people. We have truly never felt so safe and at home anywhere on vacation and have already re-booked the house for next year. Thank you, Carole, for making this such an easy process and for sharing your little piece of paradise :) We can't wait to come back! Robin, Phil & Gayle"

The place is was clean and well furnished . The owners have equipt the place with anything you might need during your stay. The layout of the place makes for great public and private areas.
