  • Always a great place to great away from it all! Fishing and family fun!

"I usually make the annual trip down to do some fishing down in the keys. Sometimes it's with family and at other times it's with friends. There's never been a disappointment with something for everyone to do. This residence has a deep water canal in the back yard which is only minutes to Vaca cut. If you are a Tarpon fisherman, Vaca Cut is the best place in the keys for the silver kings! Vaca Cut offers easy access to the back country as well as the Atlantic. There's also a snook light in the back yard with plenty of juvenile snook sitting in the shadows waiting for a tasty offering. The fish cleaning station is always clean and fully functional, ready to prepare the day's catch for the backyard grill. The back yard amenities are cozy and quiet. Plenty of seating, lounge chairs, tables and shade to bring you to your happy place. Inside the residence it is clean and comfortable. Linens are always fresh and clean as is the rest of the residence. Air Conditioning blows cold throughout the house. As far as the kitchen, all I've really used was the refrigerator and coffee pot, both of which look fairly new and clean. Speaking of appliances, there is a washer/dryer setup as well as a full size chest freezer for your week's catch. There is ample parking for a couple of vehicles as well as a boat trailer. Do yourself a favor and use the Cabana Club membership which comes with the rental. This is the highlight of the trip when I take the family down. The club has a manacured beach with waitress service, chaise lounges, bar, swimming pool, lunch menu, hot tub, tables, ect. It is a well maintained resort. The kids love it as do the wife and I. When speaking with the property owner, she has always been friendly and accommodating. She does whatever necessary to fill any special requests or address problems when they arise. In conclusion, I have stayed at one other place in KCB and it was more money for less value. Plus, the property owner was difficult to work with at the other location. Since I have found this unit, I will never even look for another unit again. Thanks again for all the wonderful stays!"

  • Wonderful Stay

"We absolutely loved the condo! The location is just wonderful and the view is outstanding. We appreciated the pool noodles left for guests and all the beach towels. The kitchen is well stocked, but would suggest a Keurig Coffee maker so guests can purchase their own coffee pods. The only negative is we were unable to connect to wifi in the bedrooms. (This was only a issue at night for my teenager trying to post her daily pics to friends) We would definitely return in ever in Marathon."

  • Key Colony Beach Stay

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. It included everything we needed. We really liked the Cabana Club, which is right across the street, and we enjoyed walking the neighborhood every morning. There's only one way in and out of the community so there's very little traffic. Sunset Park is an easy walk and the sunsets there are amazing. We ate at the Key Colony Inn, which is also an easy walk from the unit, and had probably the best fresh fish I've ever had! Sparky's is nice, they will even cook the fish you caught! The front porch is nice and shady, a great place to have a drink and read! The agent, Bonnie, was very helpful and provided suggested places to visit and eat! She was very responsive throughout the process and made it so easy. I would definitely stay here again!"

  • We will be back!!

"This was the second time renting from American Caribbean. It is so much easier when you deal with a professional manager in town. I used to deal with absentee owners and one time he gave us the wrong access code to get in the house. We couldn’t reach him for hours. We were sitting around waiting (with a week’s worth of groceries) for his call. This house POO is right across the street from a beautiful big beach. It was nice to go to the beach walk back across the street and go in your own in ground pool. We fished off the private dock behind the house and caught small barracudas. We would have a manatee come up by us every day. The inside of the house was very clean and comfortable. A good full working kitchen. The outside deck wraps around the house which is nice. You can sit outside and move around to stay in the sun or move around to stay out of the sun. The front porch looks out onto the beach. Even being by the beach it is still quiet and peaceful. There is a big dining room table inside and two separate areas to eat outside on the deck. One is a screen porch. We will be back!!"
