  • Fantastic Place

"Everything about Key Lime Kottage was perfect for us - the location, the size, and the atmosphere. We had an age span of from 6 years old to 72 years old and it worked for every age. The pool area was a special place where everyone in the family good relax and enjoy each other's company. The pool towels provided were a special and considerate touch. The dock was a great place to watch the beautiful sunsets. There were numerous activities nearby and it was just as awesome to go nowhere and enjoy the pool. Very easy to deal with Maria before, during and after our stay. We would definitely stay at KLK again!"

  • Beautifully furnished, Perfect Location

"Our family had a wonderful time at the Hammerhead Cottage! Key Colony Beach is the perfect base camp - in the middle of Marathon, great amenities (pool/beach), close to grocery/convenience stores, relaxing atmosphere and boat access to spectacular fishing. We got off to a bumpy start due to a snafu with the cleaning company. Natalie immediately took care of the issue! The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated - Natalie has exceptional taste. The house is well-stocked with just about everything you could possibly need during your stay. We rented a boat and having the dock, cleaning table and bait freezer at the house made our fishing excursions easy and carefree. The girls even fished right off the dock, catching a nurse shark and a barracuda! We visited the Turtle Hospital (be sure to make reservations - they get busy), Sombrero Beach, and snorkeled at Sombrero Reef. Fishing was fun and we got lucky with some snapper! We'll definitely be back!"

  • Fantastic Stay at Hawk's Cay!

"This is our third trip to the keys as a family, and this was the best condo. It was very clean and inviting - my kids loved the "welcome" goodies. The hosts provided a lot of the little things that made the stay easier so you aren't running to the store as soon as you get there - like toilet paper, paper towels, salt and pepper. Beach towels were provided as well so we didn't take up room in our suitcases with them. The spa doubles as a refreshing pool if you don't turn on the heat - roomy enough for 4-6 people to cool off and wind down. The location is nice; a little farther from the hustle and bustle near the main hotel so it was nice and quiet. We treated our daughter to the Dolphin Experience for her birthday - she loved it. It is also near 2 marinas where we went scuba diving and rented a boat to snorkel, and there are many restaurants to choose from. All the comforts of home - washer/dryer, blender, cooking utensils. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again next year. Great vacation!"

  • Great Place to Rest and Relax

"The condo is just as it is advertised in VRBO. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, which my wife did quite a few times during our stay there. You will have to buy spices, butter, and anything else you need to season your food, but as far as dishes go, the place has everything. The view is beautiful, and I spent quite a bit of time on the screened in patio overlooking the pool and the ocean. The complex is in a very quiet area of Marathon, and we enjoyed going out at night for walks. You will need a car to reach everything, but a ten minute drive gets you to grocery stores, places to eat, and some neat activities (turtle hospital, Sombrero Beach). You are also strategically placed to enjoy both Key West and Key Largo. We especially loved driving to Key West as we got to drive over the 7 mile bridge. The water on both sides of the span was amazing. The beds were comfortable, I don't think I have slept that soundly or that long for quite a while. Our kids like sleeping on the rollaway bed that was provided, and we had plenty of linens to choose from. The place was really clean and everything worked well. The caretaker was a really nice guy and would always ask us how we were doing and ask us if there was anything else we needed. We had a great time swimming in the heated pool, and there were a few times we stayed in for a couple of hours at a time. My kids (ages 7 and 8) had a blast and my wife and I were able to relax. We would definitely recommend the place to other families, couples, etc. It is definitely not a luxury condo, but the value of the place was unbeatable and it has everything you need. Chris, the owner, was always prompt with emails and we had no trouble getting into the place the night we arrived. If you have a chance, go."
