  • Decompression Zone

"We needed a respite from the Holiday Hubbub and we knew just where to get it. We stayed here last January and couldn't wait to come back. Uncrowded beautiful beach/good weather/plentiful oysters/and perfect accommodations. You haven't relaxed until you have sipped your morning coffee watching the sun come up on the beachfront deck swing (newly refurbished). Back to the swing at sunset with a glass of wine for decompression. Too cold for margaritas but there is now a perfect spot for sipping and watching the world go by in the beachfront breezeway bar. We'll have to come back for that when it warms up. Our dogs seem to think they live there.........thanks for allowing pets!PS......we saw at least one white squirrell!! A first. soul is happy!"

  • My "Happy Place"

"Love it here. Very quiet, family friendly area. Incredible views, very clean. Close to several beaches, parks and activities. We visit every year and this is my favorite place to stay. The renting process is super easy and stress free. I can't wait to come back."

  • Great get away on the beach!

"Shipwatch was a great house on the beach with wonderful views! We stayed Dec 26-30, 2016 and even though the weather was foggy and cool it was a great vacation! The house is roomy and very comfortable! There are stairs getting up to the front and back of the house and step stairs leading to the second floor where the kitchen and living space is located. The outside stairs were not bad but the inside ones were a little more difficult for my 85 year old mother but she handled them well. We stayed outside most of the time and didn't climb the stairs too much so that helped. It was great having three full bathrooms and one with a tub for our small grandchildren! We cook most of our meals since we do watch our pennies but there was ample kitchen supplies to cook with. We needed a biscuit pan and a few minor things but was able to pick them up at the local dollar store down the road. We did eat lunch out at Posey's Oyster Bar in Panacea and the Fisherman's Wife in Carrabelle which was awesome and very reasonable! We loved having the concrete slab under the house and the walkway to the beach! The boys could ride their scooters easily and we could watch them from the back deck. We always go to the Gulf Aquarium and they were releasing a sea turtle while we were there so that was a plus! We love going to Wakulla Springs for the boat ride and visiting the local state parks. The beach was wonder to walk and so many shells and creatures to show our grands! It was definitely a great vacation and hopefully we'll return to Shipwatch for another great adventure!"
