  • Paradise Found

"We stayed in the RV and our friends stayed in the cottage over New Years. Amazing! The RV was so cozy, we were able to prepare dinner to enjoy on the covered porch, fires every night, and paddling every day. We were able to paddle the Santa Fe in both directions, the water level was fairly low and paddling against the current was no problem, so no need to even leave the property it you have your own canoes or kayaks. We highly recommend Turtle Heaven and plan to return for another stay. Such a wonderful, relaxing, and private experience. Took as many outdoor showers as possible! Do not hesitate to book this place if you are a lover of paddling, nature, and the outdoors. Pam and Lance were lovely hosts as well, very welcoming and accommodating. Five star experience for sure."

  • Private Spring made for a perfect stay

"We had a family of 5 stay over Memorial Day Weekend and our intentions were merely to stay on the property and relax the entire weekend. The private spring made it worth the stay. It was awesome to have a private area to swim in and just enjoy our family time. The owner was very quick to respond anytime I had a question. The house was clean and provided everything needed with plenty of extra's such as paper goods. There were outdoor chairs provided which was nice for the spring area. The river is just a short walk through a beautiful wooded area and with a small embankment to climb down we were able to fish the Suwanee. We are true Floridians and were prepared for mosquitoes but surprisingly they were not a problem at all. However, on the last day we were packing up and were walking the property and river to make sure we left no trace, we didn't get to take a swim so we did have chigger bites, swimming must have washed them off the first 2 days we were there. I suggest using a bug repellent when you visit. The chiggers are very common in wooded area's and not something a property owner would be able to control. Simple fix would be bug spray. This is a great place for large groups to stay, lots of room for kids of all ages just to be kids. We even got a visit from a neighbor's sweet hound dog who spent the day relaxing with us."

  • Wonderful Stay!

"We had a great time! Mary and Steve are fabulous host. I mentioned we liked to kayak and they provided area river and park maps and kayak rental information. The cabin is clean and well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed fishing at the dock. We plan to stay again!"

  • Great Retreat for nature lovers.

"This home is very comfortable with multiple seating areas for relaxing. It is nestled in the trees which gives you a beautiful view of the Santa Fe River. We really enjoyed the large deck and the fire pit. Our stay was during the month of December. It was very quiet and we could enjoy the many sounds of nature. This is a great place to get away from it all."
